Undeniable Fact! NOT!

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the new day. Thank you for the sunrise and the sunset. Thank you for holding everything together in what was called the Colossian Force (through Jesus, referencing Colossians 1:16-17). And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

And when the town clerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter? Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly. (Acts 19:35-36)

Lord, it’s me. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter you love. And today’s scripture reminds us how sometimes undeniable facts are actually not facts at all! And so Lindsey, today I pray that God would keep your eyes open to see what is really true. I pray that you would be able to recognize facts that are not. I pray that anytime something deceptive is before you that God would bring the real truth to your mind. I pray that you would have eyes that see. And together we can give God the glory. All the glory is his! Glory! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

Define CONSISTto cohere, hold together

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. (Colossians 1:16-17)

God’s Banner Over You is Love

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for taking care of my family. Thank you for reminding me each year that I have one foot in heaven!* And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. (Song of Solomon 2:4)

Lord, I am here on behalf of Lindsey again. I ask that you find ways today to illustrate to her how you have placed your banner of love over her. I ask that you show this to her in a way that means something to her. I ask that you reveal more about your banner of love to her this day. And we will give the glory to you. The glory is all yours. Glory! I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

* For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3)
* So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. (Mark 16:19)

[If my life is hid with Christ and he is in heaven, then it seems natural to consider that I have one foot in heaven already]

Sing from Your Heart as the Word of Christ Dwells in You Richly!

Exhortstrongly encourage or urge (someone) to do something.

Admonishadvise or urge (someone) earnestly. warn (someone) of something to be avoided.

Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you for always being with me. Thank you for coming near to me anytime I draw near to you. Thank you for clearly lighting the path for me for the task you have set before me. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. (Colossians 3:16)

Lord, I’m here again. I came to sit with you and thank you again for showing me the way to go for the task at hand. But I also am here on behalf of your daughter you love and today I have another big request. Lord, I ask that you continue to put godly advisers around her. Surround her with people who will not just encourage her, but also urge her along the right path, warning her of things she must avoid. Place people around her that can teach her with hymns and songs. Help her to sing and play with grace in her heart. And we will give the glory to you. All the glory is yours Lord. I pray this all in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Blessing: A Very Special Blessing

Lindsey, today I pray another special blessing over you based on how Paul blessed the Colossians, for I too, do not cease praying for you, God’s daughter! May you clearly know God’s will for you and may you achieve the height and depth of spiritual wisdom and understanding. May your life be a credit to the Lord and even beyond that, may your life continue to be a delight to God as you do every good work and grow in the true knowledge that comes from being close to the Lord your God. May he strengthen you with his infinite power and might so that you will have everything you need to hold on and joyfully endure any hardship with patience. Lindsey, you are set apart by the light and there is an inheritance waiting for you.

Heavenly Father, what a day, what a time. Thank you for being with me for I just cannot do it on my own. Thank you for giving me glimpses of your plan so that I can walk right. But please don’t let me do that walking on my own. Please be with me every step of the way. Thank you for being such a faithful God. And thank you for this special blessing for your daughter you love pulled right from your scriptures:

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:9-12)

Lord, here I am. Here I am meeting with you on behalf of Lindsey, who loves you so much. Here I am. Lindsey, I have already prayed today’s blessing over you at the start of this prayer. Make it yours this day, this month, this year. And we can give the glory to the Lord. All the glory is to you Lord. I pray this all in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

(Q) You are Qualified

(See other translations to help with old English “which hath made us meet”)

Heavenly Father, thank you for the warm room in the midst of 30 below zero wind chill temperatures. Thank you for watching over me all these years and I ask that you would watch over all the others during the very cold temperatures. Thank you for being my instructor and my guide. And thank you for such a good scripture for the letter Q:

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet* to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: (Colossians 1:12)

Lord, I am here again. Here to sit with you and to remember your daughter you love, to recall Lindsey. You have made her qualified for every task that you set before her. I ask that you give her confidence and let her feel fully qualified for everything she sets out to accomplish. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours. I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

* “hath made us meet” = “has qualified us”
