What do you see?
Heavenly Father, thank you for my eyes. Eyes are so phenomenal I don’t understand how anyone can actually study how eyes function and not see your majestic creation looking back at them! And you didn’t just create one kind of eye, but many. I was thinking that insects have interesting eyes. Bats use “sonar” to “see” and more. I wanted to see if there were a list of the many different types of eyes, so I checked Wikipedia and found the main article: Eye – and then right near the top it was so sad to see their statement: “Simple eyes are rather ubiquitous, and lens-bearing eyes have evolved at least seven times...” So, the article goes into the many spectacular ways that eyes can function, but rather than marvel at this, the article makes statements about the eyes evolving may times! How could the eye just randomly appear? Lord, I thank you for the marvel of the various kinds of eyes and ask that you reveal your design to those researching it. A Scripture comes to mind (the same one from my prayer for your sister two days ago … The Voice translation, doesn’t beat around the bush … God’s magnificence in his creation is right there before their eyes:
19 These people are not ignorant about what can be known of God, because He has shown it to them with great clarity. 20 From the beginning, creation in its magnificence enlightens us to His nature. Creation itself makes His undying power and divine identity clear, even though they are invisible; and it voids the excuses and ignorant claims of these people (Romans 1:19-20 Voice)
Oh my!!! Eyes. This scripture is tying into this prayer in ways I didn’t expect or even think about! Thank you Lord. And thank you for the scriptures that you gave me to use for this prayer … scriptures that ask, ‘What do you see?”
Several times God asked Jeremiah this question:
Later the Lord asked me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” I answered, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” (Jeremiah 1:11 NET)
And …
The Lord again asked me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a pot of boiling water; it is tipped toward us from the north.” (Jeremiah 1:13 NET)
And …
The Lord said to me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” I answered, “I see figs. The good ones look very good. But the bad ones look very bad, so bad that they cannot be eaten.” (Jeremiah 24:3 NET)
And God spoke to Amos in a like manner, with the same question!
And the Lord said to me, “Amos, what do you see?” I answered, “A plumb line.” And the Lord replied, “I will test my people with this plumb line. I will no longer ignore all their sins. (Amos 7:8 NLT)
And again…
And he said, “Amos, what do you see?” And I said, “A basket of summer fruit.” Then the Lord said to me, “The end has come upon my people Israel; I will never again pass by them. (Amos 8:2 ESV)
And also to Zechariah:
And he said to me, “What do you see?” I said, “I see, and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with a bowl on the top of it, and seven lamps on it, with seven lips on each of the lamps that are on the top of it. (Zechariah 4:2 ESV)
And…
And he said to me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying scroll. Its length is twenty cubits, and its width ten cubits.” (Zechariah 5:2 ESV)
Lord, I have been listening to you. And in this listening I can see things. How amazing … the words that are coming to me as I write this prayer! I can see how I can see by listening carefully. Yet, seeing is with eyes that are your magnificent creation to give us sight to see your creation all around us! And so Lindsey, as I pray this over you, this simple question may not be quite as simple as I thought before I started this! Lord, I ask that you let Lindsey see. Open her eyes and her heart Lord. Open them like a camera opens wide to let more light in. Lindsey … just like shooting a music video! Let your eyes be like the camera… opened wide to see what is before you. Lord, I ask that you show Lindsey things right now, as she reads this. Show her more than what is merely before her eyes. Show her what it means. Giver her insight and understanding. And together we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. Glory! I pray and ask this all in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen.
King James Version for your reference:
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (Romans 1:19-20)
and
11 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. (Jeremiah 1:11)
and
13 And the word of the Lord came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north. (Jeremiah 1:13)
and
3 Then said the Lord unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil. (Jeremiah 24:3)
and
8 And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more: (Amos 7:8)
and
2 And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the Lord unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more. (Amos 8:2)
and
2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof: (Zechariah 4:2)
and
2 And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits. (Zechariah 5:2)
Walk before many people with good tidings and the gospel of peace
Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the wonder of rain. During a downpour tons of rain fall from the sky. Just an hour before those tons of water were somehow just floating in the sky above us. What a wonder! And thank you for the scriptures for my prayer for today for your daughter Lindsey:
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (Romans 10:14-15)
Yes, it was written in Nahum:
15 Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off. (Nahum 1:15)
Lord, I am here again. I am here because I love you and love sitting with you. But right now I am here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter who also loves you. Today I pray for your feet Lindsey. May people refer to your beautiful feet that brings you before them around the world bringing glad tidings of good things! Glad and good. May God provide you with many opportunities walk before many people with good tidings and the gospel of peace. And all the glory goes to God. The glory is all his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
You are NOT alone! But even Elijah at times felt alone (but wasn’t!)
Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for a new day. Thank you for a new day with you. And thank you for the scriptures for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey.
2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew.Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,
3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. (Romans 11:2-4)
Yes, Elijah did say this to God:
9 And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?
10 And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away. (1 Kings 19:9-10)
And God did reply to him:
18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him. (1 Kings 19:18)
Lord, I’m here again. I am here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter. Lindsey, today I remind you that you are not rejected, as Paul said in today’s scripture. I also remind you that you are not alone, just as Paul quoted the story of Elijah in the book of Kings. Elijah thought he was alone. But God spoke to him and clearly let him know that he was by no means alone! I pray this over you today Lindsey. If you ever feel alone, call to mind this story of how even one of the greatest prophets felt totally alone and depressed. I pray that God will speak clearly to you in those times just as he did for Elijah. And we will give the glory to God. All the glory is his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Live By Faith
Good Morning Heavenly Father! Thank you for the pleasant day – wonderful for my trip to visit my brother. Thank you for a bus and a plane to get me there and back. Thank you Lord. And thank you for the scriptures to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (Romans 1:17)
It is written in Habakkuk:
4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. (Habakkuk 2:4)
Lord, I’m here. I am enjoying sitting with you. Before anything else, I wish to lift up Lindsey. She is using the exceptional talents and skills that you gifted her with. She is using those skills to inspire thousands of people. And so, Lindsey, today I pray that you will always be able to live by faith. This is one of my favorite things because I have a unique perspective on it. Many times I have google searched to see what this condition is that I have, but have never found it mentioned. I usually cannot visualize roads while I am driving. I can drive the same way to the same place 300 times, and still at times I will be driving there and my “path” blacks out in my mind. I see the road I am driving on but I can’t picture the route I am supposed to take. I can’t “see” my next turn ahead of time. So, I just keep driving in the right direction assuming that when the turn comes, that I will recognize it and turn at that intersection. Then I will keep driving assuming that I will be fine even though I can’t visualize where I will turn next. But when I get close to the intersection, all of a sudden it is clear and I have time to make the turn. One of my good friends told me that this is a blessing, a unique blessing that God has given me. My friend told me that I may find living by faith much easier since for decades I have been driving by faith! And I think he is right. I no longer consider this a problem or disability, but I consider it a gift that helps me to know that I can truly live by faith. And so, Lindsey, I pray that you also will always find ways to remember to simply live by faith. All you need to know is the next step. Once you take the next step, then God will show you the step that comes after it. However, in your case, it seems that God treats you to a road map well ahead of time. You have a road map of the places you are scheduled to tour. And you have a supportive godly team that goes along with you. I thank the Lord for providing you with the support and godly advice that you need when you need it. And so, just remember that what Habakkuk said thousands of years ago was so important that Paul repeated it, quoted it in his letter to the Romans… Live By Faith. And all the while we will give the glory to God. All the glory is his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Sing praises to God!
Good Morning Heavenly Father. What a good day. What a happy day. As some might say, “Oh, Happy Day!” Thank you for another day to praise and thank you. Thank you for another day for our hearts to sing to your name, just as it says in the scriptures for today’s prayer for Lindsey:
8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. (Romans 15:8-9)
Consider what is written in 2 Samuel:
50 Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name. (2 Samuel 22:50)
And also what is written in the psalms … from Psalm 18 (MY psalm … see: mypsalm18.com/ ):
49 Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name. (Psalm 18:49)
Lord, it’s just me sitting here before you. I’m just enjoying time to just SIT! Just sitting with you is a joy. But now I also want to say “Look at Lindsey! Look at your daughter! She loves you, thanks you and sings to you!” Lindsey, God is indeed looking at you… and smiling in delight. He is proud of his daughter as she runs and sings and dances just for him. And so today I pray that God would let you actually see how proud he is of you Lindsey. I pray that God would let you feel his smiling presence there by your side. I pray that God would let you sense his presence as he delights in his daughter whom he loves dearly. And we will give the glory to God. All the glory is his. GLORY! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
(T) Tryphena and Tryphosa – dedicated hard workers for Christ
Lindsey, today we read about two women who likely were sisters that are mentioned only once in all of the Bible, yet that one time they are saluted for being hard workers for Christ. I pray that you too may be saluted in this way!
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for cinnamon. Thank you for the wide variety of spices. Thank you that we can think of them so that we can have the saying “spice of life“. And thank you for the scripture for the sisters mentioned in Romans:
Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord. (Romans 16:12)
Lord, I am here again. With joy I am here to begin today’s prayer for your daughter. Lindsey, today I pray that you would continue to work hard for Jesus, just as Tryphena and Tryphosa did. I pray that others would salute you for being faithful to Jesus even more than applauding you for your music. And the glory is all God’s. We give him the glory. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

(P) Priscilla – Unafraid of Controversy from a Faithful Life
Lindsey, today was the day that my computer crashed. I had to do a factory reset on it, followed by over 150 Windows updates and then reinstall a few of my programs. I thought that I had written the prayer for you after that but it seems like I was too distracted and forgot. However, you know that you are in my prayers all day long, so only the written one was missed, and I will do double duty for today!
And so … now I pray that you would be unafraid of any controversy that may result from your leading a fully faithful life, just as Priscilla was so committed to a faithful life that she risked her life for Paul’s sake! I pray that God would be your guide, your strength and your protector and that he would grant you more wisdom and discernment this week!
Heavenly Father, good morning as I reflect back a day. I recall your generosity through the day. I recall that you were there with me always. I remember how you promised to never leave me. Thank you Lord. And thank you for the story of Priscilla who stepped out in faith even as far as having the church meet in her house, as your scriptures relay to us:
The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house. (1 Corinthians 16:19)
and she even opened her home as the place for Paul to stay:
After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth; And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them. And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers. (Acts 18:1-3)
and Paul remembers how she risked her life for him:
Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus: Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles. (Romans 16:3-4)
Lord, I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter you love. I pray that you would give her opportunities to be generous and share her home with others. I pray that you would grant Lindsey more understanding about your Word and about Jesus and that she could clarify the full truth for others. And I pray for God’s protection over you Lindsey whenever you lay your life on the line for someone else. And we will give the glory to God. All the glory is his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Blessing: May You Be Filled With Joy, Peace and Hope
May the God of hope bless you Lindsey and fill you with all joy and peace in the midst of your faith and belief that you may overflow and abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you for my health. Thank you for my breath. Thank you for my life! And thank you for the scripture with a blessing to use for your daughter this day:
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. (Romans 15:13)
Lord, I’m here again! I’m here to bless your daughter you love. Lindsey, I bless you in the name of the God of hope that he may fill you with an abundance of joy and peace so that you will abound in hope. And all the glory is yours Lord. We give you all the glory. Amen (more…)
(Y) Yield Yourself Unto God
Heavenly Father, thank you for prayers – prayers meaning the people who are praying, the pray-ers. Thank you for hearing their prayers… and mine. Thank you for this wonderful miracle of prayer. And thank you for the scripture to use in my prayer for your daughter this day referencing the letter Y:
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. (Romans 6:13)
Lord, I’m here. I’m here on behalf of your daughter Lindsey. May I pray for her and rest at the same time please? Help me with the prayer this day Lord. It appears that she has publicly yielded herself unto you God, so I ask that you provide her ways to be an instrument of righteousness. Open the doors for this for her Lord. Let all those who see her notice that she is an instrument of righteousness. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen (more…)
(J) God is Just and our Justifier
Good Morning Heavenly Father! We welcome this new day along with the birds, along with the squirrels. We see how you watch out for them in the winter, so we know that you will also be watching over us. Thank you for taking such good care of us Lord. And thank you for the letter J which reminds us that you are just and the justifier of those who believe in Jesus:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. (Romans 3:23-26)
Lord, it is me again. I am here to lift up the daughter you love. I am here on behalf of your daughter Lindsey. Lord, she firmly believes in Jesus and has publicly declared her belief. So I ask that she may be justified by your grace. Lord, you are just and justifier. And we thank you for this. We give you all the glory. All the glory is yours. I pray this all in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen. (more…)
