Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for taking care of us. Thank you for being our provider. Yes, and thank you for also being our protector! Thank you for being so faithful. Help our faith as well today please! And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance. For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him. So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was entreated of us. (Ezra 8:21-23)

Lord, I am here. I am here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter who loves you. I am here to lift her up and to pray for her. Lindsey, this scripture is just a small piece of a good story. This is a story about the king allowing and supporting Ezra and all who were to travel with him to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem. It seems that Ezra realized that the king knew that he and those travelling with him believed in the Almighty God, the All Powerful God. And so Ezra realized, that if they asked the king to protect them as they traveled that the king might wonder why their God was not the one protecting them. And so Ezra proclaimed a fast. They fasted and prayed to God for protection on their journey… and he answered them! And so now I pray this over you Lindsey. I pray that you would always look to God for your protection during your travels. Pray before each trip and ask God to be with you and protect you and all who are travelling with you. Pray and expect that God will hear your prayer (because he will!) Lord, I join with Lindsey in this. I join with her in praying to you to protect her and her team wherever they travel, wherever their journey takes them. I pray that you would let Lindsey see first hand your protection. Let your protection over her be real to her. Give her confidence, not only in her talents … but confidence in her God! And we will give you the glory. The glory is all yours.
