Who in your tour group can serve the others the most? You can win this one Lindsey!

Good Morning Heavenly Father! Thank you for helping me to keep a grateful heart. Thank you for reminding us how important it is to be thankful. And thank you for the scripture to use for your daughter Lindsey:

13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (Galatians 5:13-14)

This was said in Leviticus:

18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord. (Leviticus 19:18)

Lord, it’s me. I am here as usual to begin a new days prayer for Lindsey, your daughter you love. Lindsey, you were called to freedom, called to liberty. I pray that you will each day find ways to use your freedom to serve others. I pray that your mind would always be forgiving and your heart would always be loving, even to those who you feel do not deserve it. I pray that you would find ways to compete with those on your tours to see who can serve the others the most. And all the glory goes to God. The glory is all his. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Show your gratitude and appreciation day by day

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the godly friends you placed in my life. Thank you for their support and their advice. And thank you for the scriptures for today’s prayer for your daughter:

17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
18 For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. (1 Timothy 5:17-18)

In Deuteronomy the scriptures say:

Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn. (Deuteronomy 25:4)

And in Leviticus the scriptures say:

13 Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning. (Leviticus 19:13)

Lord, it’s me. I am here to sit with you. I’m here to enter into your rest. I need that rest. But right now I am ready to begin my prayer for Lindsey, your daughter who loves you. Lindsey, it is interesting how Paul is advising Timothy by referring to scriptures! He reminds him that a laborer is worthy of being paid or rewarded. So, I pray that wherever you go, that you would find ways to reward all those travelling with you as well as helping behind the scenes. I pray that God would show you day by day ways to show your gratitude and appreciation. And we will give the glory to God. All the glory is his. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Be Holy

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the night sky. Thank you for the many stars … not just hundreds or thousands but millions upon millions of individual stars. And thank you for the Perseid meteorite shower which I just watched. Thank you for the clear sky and the lack of moonlight so that the sky would be best for viewing the “shooting stars”. Thank you for this glorious evidence of your creation. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. (1 Peter 1:16)

It is written in Leviticus:

44 For I am the Lord your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (Leviticus 11:44)

Lord, I’m here. I’m here as every day. I’m here to lift up Lindsey to you. I’m here on her behalf. Lord, you are telling Lindsey to be holy.  You would not tell her to do something that is not possible for her to do, so we know that she can indeed be holy. And so now I ask that you be with her every step of the way. I ask that you would be her strength. I ask that you would surround her with godly people that provide her examples of living holy, being holy.  And we will give you the glory. The glory is all yours. I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings.  Amen (more…)
