Celebrate because you understand God’s Word!
Hello Heavenly Father. Thank you for keeping my heart thankful. Thank you for helping me to see the many blessings that are poured on my family. Thank you for the many godly friends you surround me with. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength. So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved. And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them. (Nehemiah 8:10-12)
Lord, I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter who loves you. Lindsey, today’s prayer is a joyful prayer, for God’s Word is telling you to not grieve but to go and celebrate because you understand the words that have been declared unto you in God’s Word! Be filled with the joy of the Lord which is your strength. I also pray that others will see your joy in how you celebrate and that you will have a chance to tell them it is because you understand the words! I pray that you can help them to understand God’s Word as well. And together all the glory goes to God. The glory is all his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
May those around you notice things accomplished with the help of your God!
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the falling leaves. Thank you for the many colors in those falling leaves. Thank you for how trees change from bare branches, to green leaves, to orange and red leaves and back to bare branches again, year after year after year. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days. And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God. (Nehemiah 6:15-16)
Lord, I’m here. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter you love. Today I pray for you Lindsey… I pray that you would continue doing the things God sets before you. I pray that you also continue to let people know that you are following God, following Jesus, and that he is your guide. Lord I pray that as Lindsey accomplishes things for your kingdom that those around her would take note and realize that her accomplishments were all done with the help of her God. And Lindsey, I pray that you would have the courage to continue on the journey on the path that God sets before you even when it goes into the midst of those who are totally unhappy with how you refer to your God in the midst of your life. Notice that this scripture refers to “our enemies”. In your case it might be “your detractors”, but this scripture does not advise “taking down” the enemies or detractors. Rather it speaks about doing God’s will so that they will notice the good. And we both can give God the glory. The glory is all his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
The Joy of the Lord is your Strength
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the wind. We know not where it comes from nor where it goes. We cannot see it yet we know it is there. Thank you for the wind to be an example for us in these ways. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.
And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the Lord your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law. Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength. (Nehemiah 8:8-10)
Lord, I’m here. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter who loves you and loves reading your word each day. Lindsey, this is a good scripture to remember as you read God’s Word and see how you may not have been living it out fully. Nehemiah, Ezra and the Levites saw the people weeping as they heard the Word of God. They told the people to not weep but to celebrate for a day when you gain understanding of God’s Word is holy. Lindsey, may each day be holy for you as you gain understanding to what you read in God’s Word. Rejoice knowing that the JOY OF THE LORD is your strength! And we will give the glory to God. All the glory is his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
May God continue to be your provider!
Heavenly Father, good morning. Thank you for being my provider and protector. And thank you for the scriptures that tell how you were the good provider to the Israelites as well:
31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. (John 6:31)
It was written in Nehemiah:
15 And gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them. (Nehemiah 9:15)
Lord, I’m here again, I am here every day. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey your daughter you love. Lindsey, today I pray that the Lord would continue to be your provider. I pray that he would provide to you directly from heaven. I pray that when you hunger and thirst, that God would be there for you. I pray that you would see the many ways that God is giving to you and providing for you. And we will give the glory to God. The glory is all his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Musicians were Sought Out!
Heavenly Father, good morning. Thank you for another beautiful day. Thank you for displaying your majesty everywhere around me as I go outside today. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps. (Nehemiah 12:27)
Lord, here I am again. I am here to begin another prayer for your daughter you love! Today I ask that you let her be sought out to sing praises to you on her violin, just as they sought out good musicians thousands of years ago when scripture says “they sought the Levites out” to include music with the gladness of the day. I ask that you open doors for Lindsey to do just that … to bring gladness into our days now. And we will give you the glory. The glory is all yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Who is in charge of the Songs of Thanksgiving?
Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for words that can be set in the form of poetry. Thank you for the meters and the rhymes, even those passed down from former times. And thank you for the scripture to base my prayer for Lindsey today:
Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, which was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren. (Nehemiah 12:8)
Lord, I’m here again. I came to sit with you. I look forward to this joy each day. And today I am ready to begin my daily prayer for your daughter you love. Lindsey, it is interesting that praising God and offering him thanksgiving with music and song was so very important that scriptures tell us about the special people who were in charge of the thanksgiving songs! Today I pray that songs of thanksgiving and praise would become more and more part of your life. Just as music is part of you and part of your life, I pray that songs of praise and thanksgiving would also be part of your life. I pray that God would expand his many musical gifts in you to include the ability to fully integrate his Word and his music as part of everyday life. May your music open the eyes as well as the ears of those who hear it and may it be integral with your offering it as a song of thanksgiving to your God. And all the glory is his. The glory goes to God. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
The Joy of the Lord is Your Strength
Heavenly Father, here I am to welcome this new day with you, for this day is holy to you Lord. Thank you for the clean clear air that I breathe. Thank you for the people around me, the community you placed me in. Thank you for your Word and for the portion that I am to use for my prayer this morning, my prayer for your daughter you love:
So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved. And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them. (Nehemiah 8:8-12)
Lord, here I am. It’s me again. I came to sit with you this morning as usual and to lift up Lindsey to you. She needs your strength this day, so I ask that you fill her with your joy and let your joy be her strength. Let her be filled with your joy so that those around her can see it in her eyes. And I also pray that you will meet with her as she reads your word today, and every day as it is her goal to meet with you daily. Let this day be holy to you Lord as you sit with her and bring meaning to the words that she reads so that she may understand them. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
