Keep your heart pure with God’s Word and he will not let you wander

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the new day. Thank you for the mist in the air – I like to refer to it as liquid air because it isn’t quite raining, yet you get wet! And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. (Psalm 119:9-10)

Lord, it’s me. I’m here on behalf of your daughter Lindsey and am ready for our next prayer. Lindsey, today I pray that you would maintain a pure life. I pray that you would guard your heart by daily immersing yourself in God’s Word. I pray that you would seek after God with all your heart, and I ask that God would help you to stay on the path he sets before you and not wander off. I pray that God would protect you and not allow you to stray from his commandments. And we will give the glory to God. The glory is all his. Glory! I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Guard your mind and heart from the corruption in the world around you

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for sending your Son to be our savior. Thank you Jesus for dying for us. Thank you God for raising Jesus from the dead. And thank you for the scriptures for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. (2 Peter 2:20-22)

Yes, the book of Proverbs does say this:

11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly. (Proverbs 26:11)

Lord, I’m here as usual to begin another prayer for your daughter Lindsey. I’m here on her behalf Lord. And today I pray that you would protect Lindsey from getting entangled in the corruption of the world around her, especially since she is in the public eye and is seen as a role model for many. Lord, I ask that you guard her mind and her heart from all the defilements that the world sets before her eyes. I ask that you continue to place godly people all around her. I ask that you show Lindsey some of your plans for her. I ask that you bring clarity to her vision Lord. And we will give you the glory. The glory is all yours. Glory! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Don’t look at what you are lacking. Look at your abundance while guarding your heart.

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for taste. Thank you for letting us taste the things we eat and drink. Thank you for your creation filled with such a wide variety of tastes. Thank you for things that taste sweet as well as bitter or sour. Thank you for both hot and cold tastes that can differ. Thank you for all these things that we tend to take for granted every day. And thank you for the scriptures to use in today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

11 Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.
12 For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
13 For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened:
14 But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:
15 As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack. (2 Corinthians 8:11-15)

Yes, it is written in Exodus:

17 And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less.
18 And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating. (Exodus 16:17-18)

Lord, as usual, here I am. I come to sit with you every day… many times during the day. But right now I wish to begin a new prayer for Lindsey, your daughter you love. Lindsey, these short scriptures say much, and I will pray them over you now. First I pray that you will not worry about what you don’t have. Scriptures clearly say that God is looking at what you do with what you DO have. I pray that you will be able to cease worrying about what you are lacking so that you can focus on what you have in abundance! Finally, I pray that God would guide you in your abundance. When you have an abundance of something I pray that God would show you ways to help others with it. I pray that you will always find ways to share your talents and skills with others, but also I pray a bigger prayer. I pray that greed would not tempt you. I pray that you would always see ways to share your abundance with others and that the Lord would reward you with joy in your heart. I pray that you would never lack joy in your heart. I believe I also can share something God told me seven years ago. Yes, this was a word for ME, and not for anyone else. But it did come to mind as I was writing this prayer for you today. “There is no need to fear what we are lacking. Rather fear the hardening of our hearts.” I pray that you would watch over your heart Lindsey. Watch for signs that it is hardening and then take action to keep a soft heart. I pray that God would be your guide in this each day of your journey. And we will give the glory to him. All the glory goes to him. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
