Trust and Delight in the Lord and He Grants You the Desires of Your Heart

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for a new day. Thank you for the overnight rain. Thank you for my car which for over two decades has gotten me around my city. And thank you for the scripture for my prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. (Psalm 37:3-6)

Lord, I’m here again as usual to begin today’s prayer for Lindsey, your daughter who delights herself in you. Lindsey, today’s prayer may be for things you already know and do, but we are told to remind each other of such things, so join me in this prayer. I pray that you continue to trust in the Lord. I pray that you continue to do what is right and good each day and that God will take care of you as you dwell in this land. Let those around you notice your faith and your integrity. I pray that you continue to delight yourself in the Lord. I ask that God would once again fill you full of his joy as you delight in him. I ask that he grant you the desires of your heart. Make a commitment Lindsey! Decide that you will trust in God and that you will go the way he shows you, and he will bring it to pass. He will publicly defend your just cause. Lord, let Lindsey’s righteousness shine brightly, as bright as the noonday sun. Let all those around her see this light. And we will give you the glory. The glory is all yours Lord. Glory! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Do Justice. Do what is right and good. Be Blessed!

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for another day with you. Thank you for holding everything together for this day. Thank you for all the small miracles that are there before us that we just take for granted. And thank you for the scripture to use for your daughter Lindsey this day:

Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. (Isaiah 56:1-2)

Lord, I’m here. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter you love. I ask that you come near to her. I ask that you reveal your righteousness to her. And Lindsey, be careful, today and every day. Be careful to do these things. Do justice. Be just and fair to everyone. Do what is right and good. And then the joy kicks in because God says you then are blessed. Blessed! Don’t take being blessed lightly. Perhaps being blessed may mean that God is opening a window of favor for you. Perhaps being blessed for you may mean having people around you who build up your faith and help you to not stray from God. Perhaps being blessed is being part of a family who supports and encourages you. I ask that God bless you in just the right way! And we will give him the glory. The glory is all his. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Live By Faith

Good Morning Heavenly Father! Thank you for the pleasant day – wonderful for my trip to visit my brother. Thank you for a bus and a plane to get me there and back. Thank you Lord. And thank you for the scriptures to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (Romans 1:17)

It is written in Habakkuk:

Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. (Habakkuk 2:4)

Lord, I’m here. I am enjoying sitting with you. Before anything else, I wish to lift up Lindsey. She is using the exceptional talents and skills that you gifted her with. She is using those skills to inspire thousands of people. And so, Lindsey, today I pray that you will always be able to live by faith. This is one of my favorite things because I have a unique perspective on it.  Many times I have google searched to see what this condition is that I have, but have never found it mentioned. I usually cannot visualize roads while I am driving. I can drive the same way to the same place 300 times, and still at times I will be driving there and my “path” blacks out in my mind. I see the road I am driving on but I can’t picture the route I am supposed to take. I can’t “see” my next turn ahead of time. So, I just keep driving in the right direction assuming that when the turn comes, that I will recognize it and turn at that intersection. Then I will keep driving assuming that I will be fine even though I can’t visualize where I will turn next. But when I get close to the intersection, all of a sudden it is clear and I have time to make the turn. One of my good friends told me that this is a blessing, a unique blessing that God has given me. My friend told me that I may find living by faith much easier since for decades I have been driving by faith! And I think he is right. I no longer consider this a problem or disability, but I consider it a gift that helps me to know that I can truly live by faith. And so, Lindsey, I pray that you also will always find ways to remember to simply live by faith. All you need to know is the next step.  Once you take the next step, then God will show you the step that comes after it. However, in your case, it seems that God treats you to a road map well ahead of time. You have a road map of the places you are scheduled to tour. And you have a supportive godly team that goes along with you. I thank the Lord for providing you with the support and godly advice that you need when you need it.  And so, just remember that what Habakkuk said thousands of years ago was so important that Paul repeated it, quoted it in his letter to the Romans… Live By Faith. And all the while we will give the glory to God. All the glory is his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

(J) God is Just and our Justifier

Good Morning Heavenly Father! We welcome this new day along with the birds, along with the squirrels. We see how you watch out for them in the winter, so we know that you will also be watching over us. Thank you for taking such good care of us Lord. And thank you for the letter J which reminds us that you are just and the justifier of those who believe in Jesus:

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. (Romans 3:23-26)

Lord, it is me again. I am here to lift up the daughter you love. I am here on behalf of your daughter Lindsey. Lord, she firmly believes in Jesus and has publicly declared her belief. So I ask that she may be justified by your grace. Lord, you are just and justifier. And we thank you for this. We give you all the glory. All the glory is yours.  I pray this all in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen. (more…)
