Joyful in Prayer! Rejoice while Praying!
Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for my breath. Thank you for my life. Thank you for watching over me while I sleep since you never sleep nor slumber. And thank you for the scriptures for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves. (Mark 11:17)
It is written in the book of Isaiah:
7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. (Isaiah 56:7)
Lord, it’s me. I’m happy to sit with you. Praying is a joy… I rejoice as I pray for your daughter you love, just as you rejoice as you watch over her. Lindsey, today I pray for your prayers. I pray that your times of prayer are joyful. I pray that you rejoice to be talking with God while you pray. I pray that you look forward to your times of prayer and that God would often let you feel his presence around you as you pray. And together we give the glory to him. All the glory is to God. I pray this joyfully in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Sing praises to God!
Good Morning Heavenly Father. What a good day. What a happy day. As some might say, “Oh, Happy Day!” Thank you for another day to praise and thank you. Thank you for another day for our hearts to sing to your name, just as it says in the scriptures for today’s prayer for Lindsey:
8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. (Romans 15:8-9)
Consider what is written in 2 Samuel:
50 Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name. (2 Samuel 22:50)
And also what is written in the psalms … from Psalm 18 (MY psalm … see: mypsalm18.com/ ):
49 Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name. (Psalm 18:49)
Lord, it’s just me sitting here before you. I’m just enjoying time to just SIT! Just sitting with you is a joy. But now I also want to say “Look at Lindsey! Look at your daughter! She loves you, thanks you and sings to you!” Lindsey, God is indeed looking at you… and smiling in delight. He is proud of his daughter as she runs and sings and dances just for him. And so today I pray that God would let you actually see how proud he is of you Lindsey. I pray that God would let you feel his smiling presence there by your side. I pray that God would let you sense his presence as he delights in his daughter whom he loves dearly. And we will give the glory to God. All the glory is his. GLORY! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Go out into the world… go out there teaching as well as playing violin!
Heavenly Father, good morning. Thank you for the children. Thank you for holding the children up as an example for us. Thank you for letting us know that it is not only OK to be like a child … but it is preferable! And thank you for your word today to speak over your daughter you love… this is the word for your Lindsey:
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)
Lord, I’m here again. I’m here to begin another prayer for your daughter. Lindsey, today the scripture given to me to pass along to you in this prayer is a powerful one. Jesus is telling you to GO. Yes, I know that you are GOing almost all the time. Jesus is telling you to go to THE NATIONS! Yes, I know that you just got back from going out to the nations around the world. But Jesus is saying a bit more that just GO … a bit more than just go to THE NATIONS. Yes, he wants you to take your violins out with you. He wants you to utilize the gifts, skills and talents that he has given you. But he says it is more than just that. While you are going, while you are in the nations, while you are out there in the world he wants you ALSO to be teaching. Yes, you can be teaching wherever you go because Jesus said you can. He sent you. Teach all the things he has commanded (which means that you are wise to be reading the Bible every day so that you know what God is saying to everyone). So I pray for you as you go. I pray for you as you go to the nations. And I pray for you as you teach there. I pray that you can teach by what you do as well as by what you say. I pray that God will give you the words as well as the opportunities. And we can both glorify God. The glory is all his. GLORY! I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
