Turn to God With All Your Heart and Soul
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for a fresh new day. Thank you for a refreshing day anew with you. Thank you for the stars above early this morning and for the cool clean crisp air. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers: If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. (Deuteronomy 30:9-10)
Lord, I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter who loves you with all her heart. I ask that you speak to her today. I ask that you let her hear your voice, especially while she is reading your Word. Lindsey, I pray that you will continue to strive to not only read God’s commandments and statutes written in the Word, but that you would keep and obey them. I pray that your whole heart and soul would turn to the Lord as you strive to follow him. I pray that you hear his voice today – that you hear it clearly, for he is rejoicing over you for good just as he rejoiced over your fathers! And we will give all the glory to God. The glory all goes to God. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
How do you know that you love Jesus?
I welcome another new day with you Heavenly Father. Thank you getting me up this morning. Thank you for the stars in the sky while I walk to catch my bus just before the rising of the sun. And thank you for your scripture that gives us a way to see if we love you:
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (John 14:21)
Lord, I am here as usual to begin another prayer for another day. I am here on behalf of Lindsey who loves you. Yes, Lindsey, you can tell that you love Jesus if you acknowledge God’s commandments AND actually keep them. You can tell that you love God when you obey his commandments. Lord, I ask that you notice how Lindsey keeps your commandments. Show her how much you love her Lord, for she loves you too. Manifest yourself to her Lord. Reveal yourself to her today. Let her know that you are near to her and that you love her dearly. And we will give you the glory. The glory is all yours Lord. Glory! I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
God’s laws: do them and be loved and blessed
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for community. Thank you that I am able to meet with others around me in the coffee shops and restaurants. Thank you for the conversations and discussions around a table. Thank you that we also can use those times to read your Word aloud around the table. And thank you for this portion of your Word to use for my prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the Lord thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers: And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee. (Deuteronomy 7:12-13)
Lord, I’m here again. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter you love. This scripture also is a good IF… THEN… scripture to remember Lindsey. Look at the promises God gives you if you pay attention to his laws and judgments and are careful to actually do them. Let me pray for you now. Lindsey, I pray that you would take to heart God’s judgments and laws and not just read them, but also strive to follow them as best as you can. I pray that God would be your guide in this pursuit and that he would help you stay on his path not veering to the left nor the right. And then I ask God to love you as he promised. I ask him to bless you as promised. I ask God to prosper you. And we will give him the glory. The glory is all his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
As you walk in God’s ways, may you rejoice in your heart
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for nuts (the kinds that I eat:) Almonds and cashews are so good. Thank you for the huge variety of things that we can eat. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. (Psalm 19:8)
Lord, I’m here again to lift up Lindsey to you. She loves you and strives to follow your ways and obey your commandments. So I pray that you would continue to provide rejoicing for her heart. I pray that you would enlighten her eyes and give her insight on living. Many people in the world are watching your daughter. I pray that they notice how she rejoices from her heart and has a keen insight for living. I pray that they will also notice that it is connected with how she strives to walk in your ways Lord. And we will give you the glory. The glory is all yours. Glory! I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Cling to God and Walk in His Ways
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for how a breeze can rustle the leaves in a tree. Thank you for how the wind can actually move the branches in a tree back and forth, bending it ever so slightly in the direction that it is blowing. But also thank you for showing the power of something that cannot be seen when strong winds actually break branches from trees and even uproot them completely. What is not seen can definitely be real. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him; Then will the Lord drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves. Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be. (Deuteronomy 11:22-24)
Lord, it’s me. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter who loves you. She clings to you Lord as she strives to always walk in your ways. She diligently sets guidelines for her tour company and is careful that their time on the bus and at each location honors you Lord. I ask that you continue to shower her and her tour company with your love and your grace. Smile as they enjoy life together. Let them hear you laugh with them as they have fun wherever they go. Lord, I ask that as Lindsey cleaves unto you that you will be with her everywhere that the soles of her feet shall tread and that you will guard her and keep her safe in you. And we give the glory to you Lord. All the glory is yours. I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Be a hear-er and a keep-er! Hear it and Keep it!
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the many tiny miracles that are part of each day. Thank you for holding everything together. Thank you for being in control. And thank you for the scripture for Lindsey’s prayer today:
But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. (Luke 11:28)
Lord, it’s me. I’m here on behalf of your daughter you love. God is blessing you Lindsey for reading (and hearing) his Word each and every day. He delights in how you strive to not only hear his Word but also to KEEP IT! Lord, your daughter is a HEARer and a KEEPer! I ask that you bless her for this. I ask that you fill her with your joy so she would be happy indeed. And we will give you the glory. The glory is all yours Lord. Glory! I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
God will reward and bless you as you walk in his ways
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for another beautiful morning. Thank you for the crisp clean Fall air. Thank you for the sunrise. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me. For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God. For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me. I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity. Therefore hath the Lord recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight. (Psalm 18:20-24)
Lord, I’m here again on behalf of your daughter Lindsey. She tries to walk in your ways Lord. She strives to obey your commands and observe your laws. She always wants to do what is right! And so I ask that you reward her Lord. I ask that you bless her. Be her protector Lord as she is in the public eye day after day and looks for your continued help. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. Glory! I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
You are a peculiar and special treasure to God
Heavenly Father, good morning. Thank you for my life. Thank you for my breath. Thank you for my beating heart and my mind that is functioning so well. And thank you for your scripture for this prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: (Exodus 19:5)
Lord, it’s me. Yep, I came to sit with you again. And right now I’d like to lift up Lindsey to you. She loves you Lord. She strives to obey your voice and keep your covenant. I ask that today you would show her how she is a peculiar treasure to you. Show her how special she is to you today. And we will give all the glory to you. The glory is all yours Lord. Glory! I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Do what people want? Or rather do what God wants regardless of the cost?!
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the new day. Thank you for bringing clarity back to my mind. Thank you for promising that I can start each day anew and not have to start where I left off the prior night. Thank you for the day anew with you! And thank you for the scripture to use for this prayer for Lindsey:
And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them, Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.
Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them. Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men. For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought. After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed. And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God. And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. (Acts 5:27-42)
Lord, I’m here again on behalf of your daughter Lindsey. She is not afraid to publicly acknowledge Jesus, even though each time it brings a backlash from those watching her. Lindsey, whenever you do this it is significant. People notice when you don’t bow down to public pressure to leave Jesus out of your public life (as if he could be put in a box on a shelf while in the public eye). Lord, I ask that you continue to give Lindsey the courage and strength to keep you in front of her all day long, especially in public. I ask that you grant her the grace she needs to actually rejoice when people put her down for this. I ask that you fill her with your joy and that your joy would make her strong. And we will give you the glory. Glory. The glory is all yours Lord. I ask this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
