Dividing Your Loyalty between the World and God makes you Unstable
Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the way our bodies are designed to keep us safe. We can touch something hot and back away. We can smell something “rotten” and discard it. We can see a danger approaching and react immediately. And thank you for giving us your Word as our guide, especially the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. (James 1:5-6,8)
Lord, I’m here again on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter you love. Lindsey, God has told you that you can ask for wisdom. He promised to hear and grant your request. And I will join you in this request. Lord, I ask that you grant Lindsey much wisdom for many around her are watching her and you are her generous God. And Lindsey, God also is reminding you to have faith in him and to never waver. Take care to not be double minded and divide your loyalty between God and the world, for this will eventually lead to living an unstable life where ever you go. Trust in God only. Don’t waver or waves on the sea will toss you around and you will be unstable. Lord, help Lindsey to stay stable. And we will give you the glory. The glory is all yours. Glory. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Love Wisdom! Seek It Diligently and Find It!
Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for books. Thank you for language that lends itself to writing. Thank you for reading. Thank you that I can read something that someone else wrote. Thank you for how this writing and reading process works to allow us to see and hear things of the past in our own mind based on written accounts. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for Lindsey based on something Lady Wisdom says:
[Lady Wisdom speaking] I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. (Proverbs 8:17)
Lord, I’m here again. I’m here on behalf of your daughter who loves you. Lord help her to also love Wisdom, for then Wisdom will love her right back! Lindsey, I pray that you will seek wisdom with all your heart. Seek wisdom every day and God promises that you will find it. Lord, since so many people are watching her, I ask that you give Lindsey an extra helping of wisdom from your Word as well as godly advisers. And we will give the glory to you. The glory is all yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
May God grant you wisdom to shine before all those watching you
Heavenly Father, good morning. Yes, what a good morning. What a good start for this day. Thank you for allowing me another day to see your beauty all around me wherever I go. And thank you for the scripture to use for my prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. (Daniel 12:3)
Lord, I’m here to lift Lindsey up to you. Lord, grant her more of your godly wisdom to help her choose wisely the paths that are before her. Many are watching her Lord, so I ask that you protect her with your wisdom. I ask that you help her to be a shining example before the world. Let her shine wherever she goes. Let many of those watching her turn to righteousness. And we will give the glory to you. The glory is all yours Lord. I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
May God give you wisdom, discretion and understanding
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for watching over me during the night. Thank you for giving me a restful sleep. Thank you for waking me up this morning. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
Only the Lord give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of the Lord thy God. Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which the Lord charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed. (1 Chronicles 22:12-13)
Lord, here I am again. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey. She loves you Lord. You have placed her in the eyes of the world so I ask that you also grant her a double portion of wisdom, discretion and understanding. Help her to notice when she starts to wander a bit off of the path you set before her. Since so many people are watching her, I ask that you help her to know when things are appropriate and when they are not. And I ask that you give her understanding so that she may understand all that is going on around her. And we will give you the glory Lord. The glory is all yours. GLORY! I ask this all in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Joy as you do good in God’s sight
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for fast typing fingers that know where to go as I type without my looking at them or at the keyboard. Thank you for the instant coordination from what I am thinking to what I am typing. And thank you for speaking to me in the same way that I can instantly hear you. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit. (Ecclesiastes 2:26)
Lord, it’s me. I am ready to begin as I stand before you on behalf of your daughter you love. Lindsey, today I pray that you can do good in God’s sight. I pray that you will please your God this day. I pray that you will be able to do what is right each time a choice is set before you. And then I ask God to give you more joy with each choice. I ask that he grant you great wisdom and knowledge with each decision you make. And we will give the glory to God. All the glory is his. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
May God Grant You Discernment and Godly Wisdom
κόσμου (Strong #2889) transliteration: kosmos – order, the world (definition: the world, universe; worldly affairs; the inhabitants of the world; adornment) [see online reference]
Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for music. Thank you for ears to hear it. Thank you for those talented to compose it and for those gifted to be able to play it! And thank you for the scriptures to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. (1 Corinthians 3:19)
It is written in Job:
13 [Eliphaz is speaking] He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong. (Job 5:13)
Lord, it’s me again. I am enjoying my time sitting with you. It is wonderful knowing that I can come sit with you at any time, day or night. And right now I am here on behalf of your daughter Lindsey who loves you very much. Lindsey, I pray that God would give you discernment and godly wisdom. I pray that he would allow you to see what the world calls wisdom as foolish in his eyes. I pray that God would grant you wisdom beyond your years. I pray that God would give you opportunities to share with others the wisdom of God. I pray that he will let you see how the schemes and craftiness of the world are NOT the answer, nor to be desired. Lindsey, I pray that God will watch over you and surround you with godly people. And we will give the glory to God. All the glory is his. Glory! I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen
Sing from Your Heart as the Word of Christ Dwells in You Richly!
Exhort: strongly encourage or urge (someone) to do something.
Admonish: advise or urge (someone) earnestly. warn (someone) of something to be avoided.
Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you for always being with me. Thank you for coming near to me anytime I draw near to you. Thank you for clearly lighting the path for me for the task you have set before me. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. (Colossians 3:16)
Lord, I’m here again. I came to sit with you and thank you again for showing me the way to go for the task at hand. But I also am here on behalf of your daughter you love and today I have another big request. Lord, I ask that you continue to put godly advisers around her. Surround her with people who will not just encourage her, but also urge her along the right path, warning her of things she must avoid. Place people around her that can teach her with hymns and songs. Help her to sing and play with grace in her heart. And we will give the glory to you. All the glory is yours Lord. I pray this all in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
(Q) Queen of Sheba – Travel Far; Ask Hard Questions; get Answers
Lindsey, today I pray that you will be willing and determined to travel great distances to get answers to your hard questions, just like the Queen of Sheba (who both Matthew and Luke considered more honorable that their current generation!)
Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for another beautiful day. Thank you for the green grass. Thank you for the flowering trees. Thank you for the example of Spring! And thank you for the honorable woman for the letter Q:
The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. (Matthew 12:42)
She traveled far to ask Solomon hard questions and was breathless at how he could answer every single question she had:
And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart. And Solomon told her all her questions: and there was nothing hid from Solomon which he told her not. And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built, And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel; his cupbearers also, and their apparel; and his ascent by which he went up into the house of the Lord; there was no more spirit in her. (2 Chronicles 9:1-4)
Lord, I’m here again resting with you. And after a bit of rest, I begin today’s prayer for your daughter who loves you so much. I pray that you would answer all of Lindsey’s hard questions. I ask that you allow her to travel great distances to see the answers for herself. I pray that you would take her breath away. Let her be breathless when she sees the answers! And we will give you all the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
(D) Deborah – Prophetess, Patriot and Poet
Lindsey, may those around you see your godly strength and leadership, just like they looked up to Deborah. May they see the wisdom and joy of the Lord in you and may you be a role model for the young women today.
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the bright sunshine in the morning. Thank you for waking me this morning. Thank you for the godly people you surrounded me with in the morning. And thank you for the woman in the Bible for the letter D – Deborah:
And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time. And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Beth-el in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment. And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedesh-naphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the Lord God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun? And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin’s army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand. And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go. And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the Lord shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh. (Judges 4:4-9)
Lord, I’m here again. I am ready to pray for Lindsey, your daughter, based on what scriptures say about Deborah. Lindsey, I pray that you would continue to find your strength in the Lord so that you may confidently stand before others and let your faith shine forth. I pray that the joy of the Lord would fill you and carry you on your walk. I pray that you can write a song just like Deborah wrote “The Song of Deborah”. And I pray that those around you would look to you for godly wisdom. And we will give all the glory to the Lord. All the glory is yours Lord. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

(A) Abigail – Wise, Generous, Quick-witted and Blessed
Lindsey, may you have spunk just like Abigail. May you be as generous, quick-witted, wise and blessed as Abigail. May you be a peacemaker as Abigail was.
Heavenly Father, good morning. Thank you for your Word. Thank you for the many people and stories in your Word. Thank you for the story about Abigail as I start looking at women in scriptures from A to Z. Most of her story is included at the end of this prayer, with a few highlights here:
And when Abigail saw David, she hasted, and lighted off the ass, and fell before David on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, And fell at his feet, and said, Upon me, my lord, upon me let this iniquity be: and let thine handmaid, I pray thee, speak in thine audience, and hear the words of thine handmaid. …
I pray thee, forgive the trespass of thine handmaid: for the Lord will certainly make my lord a sure house; because my lord fighteth the battles of the Lord, and evil hath not been found in thee all thy days. …
And David said to Abigail, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, which sent thee this day to meet me: And blessed be thy advice, and blessed be thou, which hast kept me this day from coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself with mine own hand. (1 Samuel 25:23-24, 28, 32-33)
Lord, here I am, ready to start the first of 26 prayers based on women in scriptures. I ask for your help and your words in these prayers as I pray for your daughter Lindsey. Today, I pray that you would bless her as David blessed Abigail. I pray that you would grant Lindsey wisdom and quick-wittedness where ever she goes. Let her see situations through your eyes Lord. I also pray that you would help her to know when it would be wise to be generous as Abigail was. Let Lindsey rise up during adversity and any pending crisis as Abigail did. And we will give all the glory to you Lord. The glory is all yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen
