God loves you and calls you his daughter!

Good Morning Heavenly Father. I welcome this new day with you. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer as I start another 40 days of prayers by acknowledging how scripture says that she is a child of God, a daughter of God:

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. (1 John 3:1)

Lord, I’m here again to lift up your daughter Lindsey. I ask that you let her feel your presence and confirm that she is indeed A DAUGHTER OF GOD. You have bestowed your love upon her. Let her feel that love from you today. Let that truth resonate in her this day Lord. And all the glory goes to you. The glory is all yours Lord. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

(W) Walk (and Dance) in the Light

Today’s prayer seems to be an extra special one … a tiny group of us meets every weekday at a coffeeshop or at Wendy’s from 7-8am to read scriptures aloud around our table … and now and then we pause to share thoughts that we have regarding the scriptures. And today one of the people mentioned dancing to the Lord or dancing for the Lord … and I had to say … wow, that is part of my prayer I was just typing before we started our reading!  And so I need to expand this prayer a bit and add a second scripture to it referencing how king David danced before the Lord!

Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank  you for a wonderful morning feeling fully refreshed. Thank you for the many things that I can eat and drink, the vast amount, all different. Thank you for showing us that unique can be good! Thank you for being my guide and lighting the path for me to walk… and for the scripture for the letter W for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)

Lord, today it is even more a joy to be here with you than usual. The scripture for today’s prayer is so very applicable to your daughter you love … for she strives to walk in the light not only in her private life but also in public. But today I pray that you would show her how she also can dance in the light. Lord, I ask you to find ways for her to make dancing in the light part of her. Show her the way to do this Lord. Perhaps King David can be an example for her (see the ESV translation to help understand the Old English):

And it was told king David, saying, The Lord hath blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the city of David with gladness. And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the Lord had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings. And David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet. And as the ark of the Lord came into the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart. And they brought in the ark of the Lord, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord. And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord of hosts. And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house. Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself! And David said unto Michal, It was before the Lord, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel: therefore will I play before the Lord. And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour. Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death. (2 Samuel 6:12-22)

So let there be a celebration, let there be a party, let there be a dancing party. Lord, I ask that you sit with your daughter, that you walk with your daughter, that you DANCE and PLAY with your daughter in front of many crowds of people. Let the dance and the music be to you Lord. Let others know that we can celebrate with all our might before the Lord. Some of those around your daughter may not approve of this, however, but we know that you, Lord, DO approve, and so I pray that you will give your daughter the courage and strength to dance and play before you regardless of what others might say. And we will give all the glory to you. All the glory is yours Lord. I ask this all in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

(O) You are an Overcomer!

Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you for the new day. Thank you that you had the sun rise this morning. Thank you for being in control and holding everything together. And thank you for your promise for all who believe in Jesus … for the scripture for the letter O for today’s prayer for the daughter you love:

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:4-5)

Lord, I’m here again to sit with you. Look at your daughter Lindsey now. Look at how she has become an overcomer! She believes in you Jesus. She has faith! And you have given her the victory that has overcome the world. Lord I ask that you reveal to her how as an overcomer she fits into your plan… reveal to her the plan you have for her as an overcomer! Show her the victory Lord. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord, Glory! I ask all this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

(L) You are Loved

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for vision with my eyes so that I can to read this as well as my Bible. Thank you for my mind which can make sense out of all the “marks” on the pages to interpret them as words and sentences. Thank you for loving me enough to provide for this as well as speaking to me directly. Yes, thank you for the letter L and the scripture regarding your love to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey (which also starts with the letter L):

And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. (John 17:26)

Lord, it is a pleasure to be with you … to come to you on behalf of your daughter Lindsey. Lord, she knows that you love her. She really does. But today I ask that you find a way to make your love for her tangible. Let your love for her be demonstrated to her in a way that she can grasp hold of, with her hands, her eyes or her ears! Let it be really real today. Remind her that when you say that you love her this is not a facebook message nor a youtube comment. This the word of God! I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus. And we will give you all the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. Amen (more…)

(L) God is Love

Happy New Year Heavenly Father! A good year has passed and now we look forward to an even better year to come. Thank you for reminding us that we can start each day of this coming year new with you. We need not start where we left off the night before, but start the new day fresh, anew! Thank you Lord. And thank you for telling us all about yourself and the letter L to remind us that you ARE love!

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. (1 John 4:16.)

Lord, I am overjoyed to be here with you this morning. And it is my pleasure to come before you on behalf of your daughter you love dearly. She knows that you are a God of love, but I ask that you make today a very special day for her where you make it crystal clear that you ARE love … that God is Love! And then we both will give you all the glory for all the glory is yours Lord. All the glory! I ask this all in the name and with the authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen. (more…)
