(O) You are an Overcomer!

Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you for the new day. Thank you that you had the sun rise this morning. Thank you for being in control and holding everything together. And thank you for your promise for all who believe in Jesus … for the scripture for the letter O for today’s prayer for the daughter you love:

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:4-5)

Lord, I’m here again to sit with you. Look at your daughter Lindsey now. Look at how she has become an overcomer! She believes in you Jesus. She has faith! And you have given her the victory that has overcome the world. Lord I ask that you reveal to her how as an overcomer she fits into your plan… reveal to her the plan you have for her as an overcomer! Show her the victory Lord. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord, Glory! I ask all this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

ESV:
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

NIV:
for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

KJV translation note

The King James Version is a beautiful translation of the original Hebrew and Greek, however I sometimes find Old English hard to understand fully. 1 or 2 other translations can help clarify what it is saying so I can understand it. More Info CLICK: References
