Blessing: May You Be Shown Mercy as you are merciful

Lindsey, today is the fifth blessing from the Sermon on the Mount. I pray that you are merciful, Lindsey, for then you will be shown mercy.

Good Morning Heavenly Father! What a beautiful new day. Slight breeze. Crisp fresh air. Sun just about ready to rise. Thank you for arranging the heavens in just the right manner so that the earth would be a perfect fit for us. And thank you for the scripture where Jesus said:

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. (Matthew 5:7)

Lord, it is a joy to be sitting with you today. Yes, I am here to bless your daughter Lindsey again. Lindsey, today’s blessing over you is simple yet profound. I pray that you will be ever merciful Lindsey. And then I bless you with mercy shown to you. And we will both give glory to the Lord. All the glory is his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings.  Amen (more…)

Blessing: Hunger to be Righteous and you will be satisfied and filled

Today is the fourth blessing from the Sermon on the Mount. Lindsey, may you hunger for righteousness. May you thirst to be righteous. Then may you be filled and be completely satisfied.

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for my fingers. Wow, how amazing these fingers are. They know exactly where to go to type this exceedingly fast without my even looking at them. They know how far to stretch and what force to exert to have a letter typed on my keyboard. Thank you Lord! And thank you for the scripture where Jesus said:

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. (Matthew 5:6)

Lord, it is with joy that I come to sit with you again today. It is with joy that I sit here with you … knowing that when I get up and go out that you will be walking there besides me everywhere I go. But for now, I wish to start the blessing for your daughter you love for this day. Lindsey, I pray that you will hunger for righteousness. I pray that you will thirst for righteousness. And finally I bless you with being satisfied and filled. And together we can give the glory to the Lord. All the glory is his. I pray this over you today in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Blessing: You Shall Inherit the Earth if you are meek

Today is the third blessing from the Sermon on the Mount. Lindsey, I bless you as you strive to remain meek for then you will inherit the earth.

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for language. Thank you for our minds to use language to communicate. Thank you for those who understand more than one language and are able to translate from one to another for us. And thank you for the basis of today’s blessing for your daughter based on the scripture where Jesus said:

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. (Matthew 5:5)

Also … we remember that Jesus himself was meek (also see the definition below):

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. (Matthew 11:29)

Lord, it’s me again. I am here before you again. As usual, every day, I come before you on behalf of your daughter Lindsey who loves you. And today I am here to bless her. Lindsey, I bless you as you strive to remain meek, just as Jesus was, for then you will inherit the earth! I pray that you will have all the qualities of meekness. I pray that you will remain mild of temper, soft, gentle and not easily provoked. I pray that you will remain humble and not proud. I pray all this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings who we give all the glory! Amen

Meek is defined in the 1828 Webster’s Dictionary http://1828.mshaffer.com/d/word/meek :

MEEK, a. [L. mucus; Eng. mucilage; Heb. to melt.]

1. Mild of temper; soft; gentle; not easily provoked or irritated; yielding; given to forbearance under injuries.
Now the man Moses was very meek, above all men. Num.12.
2. Appropriately, humble, in an evangelical sense; submissive to the divine will; not proud, self-sufficient or refractory; not peevish and apt to complain of divine dispensations.
Christ says, “Learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest to your souls.” Matt.11.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Matt.5.

Blessing: May You Be Comforted when you mourn

Today is the second blessing from the Sermon on the Mount for you Lindsey! I bless you for the days when you are mourning. May you be comforted on those days.

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for my breath and thank you for my life. Thank you for warmth. Thank you for such a well designed body. And thank you for your Word to use to bless your daughter today including the scripture where Jesus said:

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. (Matthew 5:4)

Lord, I am here again as usual to bless your daughter you love. Lindsey, today I bless you for the days when you are mourning, for the days of discomfort, for the days and nights of pain. I pray that in all those times that you would be comforted. And we will give the glory to the Lord. All the glory is yours Lord. I bless you in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

(V) You Are Valued

Good Morning Heavenly Father. I welcome a new day with you. I welcome a day anew, where I start fresh with you for this day. Thank you for bringing me understanding to your word. Thank you for the people around me who advise and guide me in a godly way. Thank you Lord. And thank you for reminding me of my value and providing a scripture to use for the letter V for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:29-31)

Lord, I am here to lift up your daughter Lindsey. Today I ask that you find ways to show her first hand that she is indeed valuable. Let her see how valuable she is for you and your kingdom right where she is. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

(Y) Jesus’s Yoke is Easy and his Burden is Light

Heavenly Father, I welcome the new day with you. Thank you for the majestic sunrise. Thank you for showing how you value uniqueness in that each sunrise can be different, some pink, some orange, some with wisps of clouds, others with a mist or a fog. Different from an island or from the bottom of a mountain. Different from within a dense forest or on a boat in the middle of the ocean. Different in summer and in winter.  Even near nonexistent near the north or south pole! Thank you Lord. And thank you for the scripture for today that reminds us that Jesus promised that his yoke was easy:

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:29-30)

Lord, what an exciting time. Tomorrow I finish my first 40 days of prayers for your daughter Lindsey with a prayer based on the letter Z. Today I am happy to pray for Lindsey, that you would remind her that your yoke is easy. It is not something to be avoided at all costs. Remind her that your burden is light – it is not a heavy burden.  Let her see this with her own eyes and her own heart today. I ask that today she would find your yoke extremely easy and your burden very light. And we will give you the glory Lord. All the glory is yours. I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen. (more…)

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Today I am happy to say Merry Christmas to people I meet as I remember to celebrate the birth of Jesus, of Emmanuel, and remember that indeed God is with us! Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1:23)
