PRAYER:

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Today I am happy to say Merry Christmas to people I meet as I remember to celebrate the birth of Jesus, of Emmanuel, and remember that indeed God is with us! Thank you for sending your Son to remove the guilt of our sin knowing that He would need to die to reconcile us with you! Thus this is more than a happy birthday wish to Jesus. This is an on my knees thank you for coming to save us Jesus! And today for the letter E we acknowledge his coming as Emmanuel:

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1:23)

Lord, here I am on this special day knowing that you are always there for me. You don’t close shop for holidays or holy days. You are with us always. And today my prayer for your delightful daughter celebrates that you are with her!  I pray that Lindsey would feel your presence all around her today as she celebrates the coming of Emmanuel. And we give the glory to you Lord. All the glory is yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, Emmanuel. Amen.

 Webster:
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

NRSV:
“Look, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and they shall name him Emmanuel,”

which means, “God is with us.”

BLESSING:

I bless you with identity and legitimacy
Your Father made you special. You are a very special person, created and crafted and designed by God your Father. He planned for you. You are no accident. Your Father made you beautiful and beloved. God invested an incredible amount of effort and concentration in designing you. He smiled on the day he created you. He designed your spiritual heritage. There is a spiritual treasure chest of generational blessings with your name on it. I bless you in the name of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. [while I wrote the prayer as usual, this blessing comes from a booklet titled Daily Spirit Blessings by Arthur Burk and Sylvia Gunter]

KJV translation note

The King James Version is a beautiful translation of the original Hebrew and Greek, however I sometimes find Old English hard to understand fully. 1 or 2 other translations can help clarify what it is saying so I can understand it. More Info CLICK: References
