Where are the nine? Be the one!
Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for allowing me to walk with you another day. Thank you for my breath and for my life. Thank you for being my protector and my provider. Thank you Lord. And thank you for this multifaceted scripture to form the basis of my prayer for Lindsey, your daughter you delight in:
And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. (Luke 17:11-19)
Lord it is with joy that I take time now to lift up the daughter you love. And this scripture seems to bring forth two kinds of prayers. And so this day I am praying two big prayers for Lindsey. First, I pray that you clearly show her the way you would have her go this day. And give her the courage to quickly go that way, just as all ten lepers did. They were not healed at first, but they all did begin going to the priests and only after they had gone part of the way were they healed. I pray that as Lindsey walks with you, that along the way you would give her tangible results… results that make her smile… results that put joy into her heart. And then I pray that she would be like the one who comes back to give all the glory to you Lord. As she accomplishes great things, I pray that she always will turn to give you the glory. Help her maintain a thankful heart Lord. Let thankfulness be a natural part of every hour of every day. And we will turn to you Lord to give you the glory. We will give you all the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen. (more…)
Who Encourages the Encouragers?
Heavenly Father, hello again! I come before you today on behalf of your gifted daughter. But first I must thank you for being her provider and her protector. Thank you for being her guide and for watching over her both day and night. Thank you Lord. And thank you for providing the scripture to use for my prayer for Lindsey this day:
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. (Romans 12:6-8)
Lord, I am so proud of your daughter. You have bestowed on her the gift of music and the ability to perform well. And it seems that she is not merely entertaining her audience. Rather she is inspiring them and encouraging them. She is a role model for many young women today. Both her music and her life is uplifting to those around her. One of her many gifts is to encourage others and she is using that gift well. However, Lord, she in turn needs encouragement. And so I pray that you would let her path intersect with people who will encourage her. Open her ears to hear words of encouragement spoken over her. Lord, let my prayers be an encouragement to her. Help me to encourage the encourager! And we will give you the glory. All the glory we give to you Lord. All the glory is yours. I ask this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. God loves you!
Hello heavenly Father! Here I am again, totally grateful for all your gracious gifts. You are with me wherever I go. You watch over me throughout the day as well as while I sleep. You know my name and know exactly what I need. Thank you for being my provider and protector! And thank you for the scripture to use for my prayer for your loving daughter where Jesus confirms that God loves her:
For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. (John 16:27)
Lord, it is amazing but true. Because Lindsey has publicly declared that she is striving to draw near to Jesus, he has confirmed that you love her! I pray that you would let Lindsey experience your love this very day. When she least expects it, shower your love on her in a way that she knows it is you. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen. (more…)
Always Content
Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for another new day. Thank you for letting us start anew each day regardless of what transpired the prior day. Thank you for being with us from the moment we wake. And thank you for watching over us while we sleep. It is comforting to know that you are always with us. Always. And thank you for the scripture to use for my prayer for your gifted daughter Lindsey:
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. (Philippians 4:11-12)
Lord, I ask that you provide Lindsey with a feeling of contentment this day. Help her to be content in whatever circumstances she finds herself in today, whether in abundance or suffering need. And in this I also ask that you continue to be her provider this day. As a loving Father, you know what she needs today. Thank you for being her provider, day after day. And we will give you the glory Lord. All the glory goes to you. I pray this in the name and with the authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen. (more…)
Praying for a Daughter of God
Heavenly Father, thank you for creating this wonderful world. Thank you for creating beauty around us. Thank you for creating all the multitude of stars in the sky. Thank you giving us eyes to see and ears to hear so that we can see the beauty and sing about it. Thank you Lord. And thank you for the scripture to base my prayer for your daughter who loves you so much:
I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (2 Corinthians 6:17-18)
Yes, Lord, Lindsey is indeed your daughter. She knows this and has taken this truth to heart before the world around her. I pray that you would be with her this day, just as a loving father longs to be with his daughter. Remind her how much you love her today. Let her feel your presence around her wherever she goes. And we will give you the glory Lord. All the glory is yours. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of Kings. Amen. (more…)
