Cling to God – You Have Seen Him Do Awesome Things

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for my taste. Thank you that I can taste my coffee. Thank you that I can taste the eggs. Thank you that I can differentiate the sweet taste of a donut from the sour taste of a grapefruit. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.
He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen. (Deuteronomy 10:20-21)

and

And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. (Jeremiah 32:40)

Lord, I’m here again and ready for another day with you. But right now I wish to lift up Lindsey, your daughter who loves you. Help her to cling to you. Help her to maintain her reverent fear of the Lord. Inspire this fear of the Lord in her heart Lord. Every day bring to mind some of the great and awesome things that she witnessed you doing. I ask that you never stop doing good for her. And we will give praise to you. We will give you the glory. All the glory is yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Turn to God With All Your Heart and Soul

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for a fresh new day. Thank you for a refreshing day anew with you. Thank you for the stars above early this morning and for the cool clean crisp air. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers: If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. (Deuteronomy 30:9-10)

Lord, I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter who loves you with all her heart. I ask that you speak to her today. I ask that you let her hear your voice, especially while she is reading your Word. Lindsey, I pray that you will continue to strive to not only read God’s commandments and statutes written in the Word, but that you would keep and obey them.  I pray that your whole heart and soul would turn to the Lord as you strive to follow him. I pray that you hear his voice today – that you hear it clearly, for he is rejoicing over you for good just as he rejoiced over your fathers! And we will give all the glory to God. The glory all goes to God. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

God’s laws: do them and be loved and blessed

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for community. Thank you that I am able to meet with others around me in the coffee shops and restaurants. Thank you for the conversations and discussions around a table. Thank you that we also can use those times to read your Word aloud around the table. And thank you for this portion of your Word to use for my prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the Lord thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers: And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee. (Deuteronomy 7:12-13)

Lord, I’m here again. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter you love. This scripture also is a good IF… THEN… scripture to remember Lindsey. Look at the promises God gives you if you pay attention to his laws and judgments and are careful to actually do them. Let me pray for you now. Lindsey, I pray that you would take to heart God’s judgments and laws and not just read them, but also strive to follow them as best as you can. I pray that God would be your guide in this pursuit and that he would help you stay on his path not veering to the left nor the right. And then I ask God to love you as he promised. I ask him to bless you as promised. I ask God to prosper you. And we will give him the glory. The glory is all his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Cling to God and Walk in His Ways

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for how a breeze can rustle the leaves in a tree. Thank you for how the wind can actually move the branches in a tree back and forth, bending it ever so slightly in the direction that it is blowing. But also thank you for showing the power of something that cannot be seen when strong winds actually break branches from trees and even uproot them completely. What is not seen can definitely be real. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him; Then will the Lord drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves. Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be. (Deuteronomy 11:22-24)

Lord, it’s me. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter who loves you. She clings to you Lord as she strives to always walk in your ways. She diligently sets guidelines for her tour company and is careful that their time on the bus and at each location honors you Lord. I ask that you continue to shower her and her tour company with your love and your grace. Smile as they enjoy life together. Let them hear you laugh with them as they have fun wherever they go. Lord, I ask that as Lindsey cleaves unto you that you will be with her everywhere that the soles of her feet shall tread and that you will guard her and keep her safe in you. And we give the glory to you Lord. All the glory is yours. I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

May God grant you a long life where all is well for you as you walk in his ways and doing what he asks of you.

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for helping me maintain a thankful heart. Thank you that I remember to thank you! I am truly grateful for your many blessings you have given me. I appreciate your protection and provision every day. And now I also thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

And the Lord heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the Lord said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken. O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever! Go say to them, Get you into your tents again. But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it. Ye shall observe to do therefore as the Lord your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess. (Deuteronomy 5:28-33)

Lord, here I am, as usual. I am here to lift Lindsey up to you this day. She loves you Lord and wants to follow your ways. I ask that you open her mind and her heart to know your commandments. I ask that you give her the will to carefully obey them all. Lindsey, you know what God is asking of you. Don’t turn to the right nor the left. Stay on the path God shows you and walk in his ways! Then I ask the Lord to grant you a long life where all is well for you. And we will give God the glory in all those days. Glory! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Do what is right and good that all may be well with you

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the stars at night. It is so amazing to know how far away they are, yet we can see their light even from such a great distance. Thank you for placing Lindsey before the world as a bright flare and for the scripture to use in my prayer for her this day:

And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the Lord: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, (Deuteronomy 6:18)

Lord, I’m here again as usual. I’m here to lift up Lindsey to you. She loves you Lord and tries to do what is right and good in your sight. Help her to realize that many people are watching, see her flare in the night and then look at what she is doing. Lindsey, perhaps doing what is right and good for all to see is your gift to many who are looking at you after noticing your flare in the night. God has gifted you immensely. He has given you much. But much is required from those who have been given much:

But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. (Luke 12:48)

Lindsey, God has not given you so much talent and skill to just drop you in the deep end to let you fend for yourself. He is there with you. Any time you feel like faltering just pause and look around you. Pause and remember that God is there next to you and he promised that all will be well with you… just do what is right and good. Easy to see, easy to understand … but hard to do at times. I ask God to provide you with the protection you need in the midst of all the pressure that is on you as someone caught in the spotlight. And together we can give God the glory. The glory is all his. GLORY! I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Listen for the voice of the Lord and many blessings will follow

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for another day. Thank you for another day with you. Thank you for a day anew with you. Thank you for bringing clarity to my mind and thank you for answering my prayers so clearly. And thank you for the scripture to pray over Lindsey:

And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. (Deuteronomy 28:2)

Lord, it’s me. I am here as usual to begin today’s prayer for your daughter you love. Lindsey, today I pray God’s abundant blessings on you. God promises his blessing on you as you just listen to hear his voice. Blessings are tied in with obeying the Lord. I ask that God would show you the way to go and that he would give you the courage to actually go where he shows you. And the glory is his. All the glory goes to God. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Seven Days Without God’s Word Makes One Weak :)

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for persistent vision which is important to how we see things. Thank you for peripheral vision which lets us notice things we aren’t even looking at. And thank you for the scriptures for today’s prayer for your daughter and the chance to use word play for the title of this prayer:

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4)

Jesus was referring back to the book of Deuteronomy:

And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live. (Deuteronomy 8:3)

Lord, I’m here. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter you love. She has set a goal to read your Word each and every day, so Lord, I ask that you make her strong, not weak. Lindsey, I also pray that you will also strive to remain humble in the midst of seemingly unceasing flattery from fans, because the glory belongs with God, your generous God who gifted you with so many talents and skills. All the glory is his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Show your gratitude and appreciation day by day

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the godly friends you placed in my life. Thank you for their support and their advice. And thank you for the scriptures for today’s prayer for your daughter:

17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
18 For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. (1 Timothy 5:17-18)

In Deuteronomy the scriptures say:

Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn. (Deuteronomy 25:4)

And in Leviticus the scriptures say:

13 Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning. (Leviticus 19:13)

Lord, it’s me. I am here to sit with you. I’m here to enter into your rest. I need that rest. But right now I am ready to begin my prayer for Lindsey, your daughter who loves you. Lindsey, it is interesting how Paul is advising Timothy by referring to scriptures! He reminds him that a laborer is worthy of being paid or rewarded. So, I pray that wherever you go, that you would find ways to reward all those travelling with you as well as helping behind the scenes. I pray that God would show you day by day ways to show your gratitude and appreciation. And we will give the glory to God. All the glory is his. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Never forget that you are a child of God!

Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you for loving me. Thank you for loving me as your son. Thank you for reminding me how you delight in me, even when I need some correction! And thank you for the scriptures to begin this next 40 days of prayers based on New Testament scriptures quoting from the Old Testament that reminds Lindsey that she indeed is a daughter of God:

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of himFor whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. (Hebrews 12:5-6)

The “exhortation” appears to be from Deuteronomy and Proverbs:

Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee. (Deuteronomy 8:5)

And:

My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. (Proverbs 3:11-12)

Lord, I’m here to pray for your daughter Lindsey this day. She has not forgotten that she is your daughter! I ask that you show her how much you delight in her. I ask that as you correct her in her ways, that you also remind her that such correction is to be expected if she is indeed your daughter. Remind her that if you didn’t correct her, you also then would not be treating her like your daughter, for you correct those you love just as a father corrects his children. We will rejoice that Lindsey is your daughter. And we will give the glory to you Lord. All the glory is yours. I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
