(F) You are Favored by God
Heavenly Father, thank you for your rest … rest in you regardless of my situations. Thank you for always being with me. Thank you for being my guide. And thank you for the scripture for the letter F to use for my prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. (Psalm 5:12)
Lord, it is a joy to come before you on behalf of your daughter Lindsey who strives to be righteous each and every day. And so today, I ask that you compass her with your favor, that you will cover her and surround her with your favor like a shield. I ask that this shield fully protect her from any attacks the enemy may aim at her. Keep her fully shielded within your favor Lord. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. (D) You are Delightful to God
Heavenly Father, Good Morning, Good Day, Good Evening and Good Night. All is good when I am walking with you. Perhaps not pleasant, perhaps not easy, but definitely good. And I am delighted that the scripture to use in my prayer for the letter D is one that reminds us how you delight in us:
He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me. (Psalm 18:19)
Lord, I’m here again as usual. I’m here on behalf of you daughter Lindsey. She tries to walk with you where you lead. And today I ask that you let her feel how delighted you are with her. Let her know that you will rescue and deliver her BECAUSE you are delighted in her! Show her your delight this day Lord. And we will in turn give you the glory. All the glory is yours. Rest in Hope and Rejoice that God is always with you!
Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for being here with me always. Thank you for letting me feel your presence all around me. Yes, my heart is glad in this and I rejoice! Thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. (Psalm 16:7-9)
Lord, often I come to you for rest and this scripture speaks to that need … that I can come to you and I can just rest. And today in my prayer for Lindsey I ask that she may find this rest in you. Let her heart be glad allowing her this rest Lord. And I ask that you be her counsel, that you be her guide today. Be always with her and let her be aware of your presence. Give her confidence knowing that if you are there with her she will not be shaken, she will not be moved! And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for another new day, a day anew with you! Thank you for the sunshine, the clouds, the nippy winds and the fresh air. And thank you for you Word including the scripture for today’s prayer for the daughter you love:
Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. (Psalm 20:4)
Lord, here I am again, sitting with you. And now I ask you to look at your daughter Lindsey. I ask that you hear her prayers today. Listen to her deepest unspoken desires. As her loving father, I ask that you grant her the desires of her heart. And we will give all the glory to you. The glory is all yours Lord. I ask this all in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Wondrously show your steadfast love to Lindsey
Heavenly Father, thank you for hearing my prayers and for answering me. I know that you listen when I pray. Thank you for your love. And thank you for the scripture to frame today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech. Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them. (Psalm 17:6-7)
Lord, it is wonderful to come before you today on behalf of the daughter you love. I am calling upon you Lord. Hear my prayer for Lindsey. I ask that you reveal your wonderful love to her today. Good Morning Heavenly Father! Thank you for warmth! I thank you for providing me with a home and with heat in the winter. And thank you for the scripture for X reminding us that you alone are EXcellent!
Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven. (Psalm 148:13)
Lord, how wonderful it is to come here before you again this morning on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter you love. She enjoys praising your name, for your name is excellent! Today I ask that you let her see a bit more of your glory that is above the earth. Be her provider today and provide her with an extra bit of time that she can look up above the earth and then open her eyes to see a bit of your glory. And we will praise you Lord. (W) God is Wondrous
Heavenly Father, thank you for my heartbeat. Lying down on my left side on my bed, I was able to “hear” my own heartbeat. Thank you for the heart in me that keeps beating consistently so that I can in turn say thank you for my life! How wonderful you are in creating me with a continually beating heart. And thank you for the scripture for today for the letter W to remind us that you are wondrous!
Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things. (Psalm 72:18)
Lord, good morning. I anxiously come to sit with you today. In the midst of everything going on around me I know that I can come sit with you anytime. So, here I am to lift up your daughter Lindsey. I ask that you let her see your wonder today, even more than she usually does. Arrange for her to see something from you that is totally wondrous, completely wonderful! (U) God Upholds You
Good Morning Heavenly Father. The bare trees against the snow outside look wonderful. Thank you for all the many many bits of beauty you spread all over this world, this universe! Thank you for letting me see just a tiny part of it. And thank you for the scripture for the letter U to remind us that you uphold us as we cling to you!
My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me. (Psalm 63:8)
Lord, I start today anew. I start today fresh with you, invigorated and ready for the day. And now I come before you to lift up Lindsey, your delightful daughter. You have so many plans for her. She has seen the many plans in the past come to fruition with extraordinary results. She trusts in you Lord. So, I ask that today you would remind her that you are there with her, next to her, right at her side. You will be there all day watching over her and upholding her. Remind her to simply cling to you this day, to merely follow hard after you. Remind her that you are there every step of the way. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. (P) God Preserves You With Songs
Hello Heavenly Father. I am happy to welcome another day. Another new day with you. Thank you for waking me this morning and for creating this world made to be just right for us. Just right temperature, just right gravity, just right oxygen in the air, just right! Thank you for everything you created from the tiny to the huge. And thank you for letting us know that you preserve us from trouble and surround us with songs!
Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. (Psalm 32:7)
Lord, I am here again. I come before you to lift up your daughter Lindsey. She loves you and gives her life to you. You are her hiding place. I ask that today you preserver her from all trouble. I ask that you surround her with songs of deliverance. You know that Lindsey loves music, so I also ask that you let her hear some of the songs that you surround her with. Open her ears to hear them, even for just a moment. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. I ask this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen. (more…)
(N) God is Nigh; God is Near
Good Morning Heavenly Father! Thank you for waking me to welcome another glorious marvelous day. Thank you for watching over me during the night and guiding me during the day. Thank you for the godly people you place in my path this day as you always have in the past decade! And thank you for the scripture that reminds us that you are nigh, that you are near. I just need to draw near to you and you draw even nearer to me. I just need to call on you and there you are – near to me! Thank you for the scripture that reminds us of this for the letter N this day:
The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. (Psalm 145:18)
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. (James 4:8)
Lord, I have been anxious to come and be with you now. I am eager to come near to you. And now I wish to ask something for your daughter Lindsey. Lord, I ask that you be near to her today. Even more than usual. Be near to her the entire day so that she can truly sense your presence all around her. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord.
