Gain the Whole World but Lose Your Soul? Choose Wisely!
Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the air we breathe. Thank you for how refreshing a breath of fresh air can be. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
[Jesus speaking] And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. (Mark 8:34-38)
Lord, I’m here. I’m here again as usual. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter you love. Lindsey, this scripture is interesting how Jesus clearly lets us know that if we try to get ahead in this world while ignoring him, that he in turn will be ashamed of us when he comes again. So I pray that as you become more and more popular in the eyes of the world, that you will continue to give the credit and the glory to God. I pray that any time you face a choice of advancing in this world by ignoring Jesus that you will always make a good choice. I pray for extra wisdom for you Lindsey. I pray that you will always have good people around you to advise you when the world gets so very tempting. I pray that you would never be ashamed to tell people that you follow Jesus and center you life around him. And together we can give the glory to God. Glory! You Are a Dear Child of God – A Child of Light!
Good Morning Heavenly Father! Thank you for my good health. Thank you for all those who watch over my health. And thank you for providing scriptures for my prayers for your daughter Lindsey each and every day especially today as I start another 40 days of praying for your daughter with special prayers!
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (Ephesians 5:1-8)
Lord, I am here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter who loves you. Lindsey, you are a dearly loved daughter of God. And today’s scripture reminds you that as such, you need to walk in love! This is not always easy, so today I pray that the Lord would walk with you and fill you with his joy as your strength so you can walk together in love wherever you go! Just look where God is leading you and follow that path! Avoid all the things that you know are wrong and walk with integrity. Lord, I ask that you protect Lindsey from any deception that she may encounter. At those times remind her of your truth. Shine your light on her Lord, so that she can walk as a child of light. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. GLORY! I pray and ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Follow Jesus
Heavenly Father, good morning. Thank you for never leaving me. Thank you for being with me even when others seem distant. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. (Matthew 4:19)
Lord, I’m here again as usual. This is an important time for me each day when I can sit with you and talk with you. And now I lift up your daughter Lindsey. Lindsey, I pray that you will continue to follow Jesus. I pray that the Lord would let you be a fisher of men, of people wherever you go. I pray that people would be drawn to what you say as you lift up the name of Jesus. And all the glory is to him. The glory is all his. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings.
