Seven Days Without God’s Word Makes One Weak :)

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for persistent vision which is important to how we see things. Thank you for peripheral vision which lets us notice things we aren’t even looking at. And thank you for the scriptures for today’s prayer for your daughter and the chance to use word play for the title of this prayer:

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4)

Jesus was referring back to the book of Deuteronomy:

And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live. (Deuteronomy 8:3)

Lord, I’m here. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter you love. She has set a goal to read your Word each and every day, so Lord, I ask that you make her strong, not weak. Lindsey, I also pray that you will also strive to remain humble in the midst of seemingly unceasing flattery from fans, because the glory belongs with God, your generous God who gifted you with so many talents and skills. All the glory is his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Grace and Favor are Yours When You Remain Humble

Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you moonlight. Thank you for moonlight so bright that you can see all around you. And thank you for the moonless nights once a month where the stars just glitter and shine… where “shooting stars” are so visible and amazing. And thank you for the scriptures for today’s prayer for Lindsey:

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. (James 4:6)

He said it in Proverbs:

34 Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly. (Proverbs 3:34)

Lord, I’m here again. I’m here to sit with you. The world seems a bit out of focus today, but I know that I can sit with you regardless of my situation. And now I ask you to look upon your daughter Lindsey. She loves you Lord. And now I pray for you Lindsey. I pray that you would always see a way to remain humble in spite of being set high by thousands of your fans. I pray that you would feel a pang* in your spirit any time you begin to feel arrogantly proud. I pray that when you sense this, that you’d look to Jesus and be proud that you are his friend and delight. Lord, I ask that you watch over Lindsey on the journey you set before her. It is so very tempting to become proud when continually, day after day, people are telling you that you are the greatest, the the most talented, the most inspirational. Lord, you gave the exceptional talents and skills to Lindsey and you want her to use them to the fullest. And so I pray that you also grant her exceptional grace and favor as she strives to remain humble amidst the mountains of praise heaped on her every single day. Grant her your favor Lord. Grant her your grace. Show her how to properly react to praise she receives. And we will give you the glory. We will give you the praise. All praise and glory is yours Lord. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (*see note at the end of the  prayer scriptures)

*NOTE: I wasn’t sure if I was using “pang” correctly, so I did a DEFINE: PANG in google and look at what was at the very top of the results (true – I did not edit this at all – the example used the name Lindsey):

pang
paNG/
noun
  1. a sudden sharp pain or painful emotion.
Lindsey experienced a sharp pang of guilt”
synonyms: pain, sharp pain, shooting pain, twinge, stab, spasm

Stay Humble – Let God Exalt You!

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the children. Thank you for their example of how to not complicate things, that simple is ok. Being childlike is not a problem, but a solution. Thank you for the joy in the eyes of the children involved in such simple things. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

[Jesus said:] For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. (Luke 14:11)

Lord, it’s me. I’m here again as usual on behalf of your daughter. I’m here to pray for her. Lindsey, I pray that you can remain humble, and let Jesus exalt you in his way. God’s favor has given you great fame. I pray that you will not let it go to your head. I pray that you keep your feet planted firmly on the ground (except when you are leaping and dancing). I pray that God would extend his favor and help you to remain humble, day after day after day. And the glory is all his. All the glory goes to God. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Humble yourself Lindsey – that is the key to greatness!

Heavenly Father, good morning. Thank you for the house that I am so happy to have. Thank you for my home. Thank you for being my provider Lord. And thank you for the scripture to use for my prayer this day for Lindsey:

[Jesus said:] Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18:4)

Lord, it’s me. I’m here to pray for your daughter again. Lindsey, today I pray that you would always remember the key to greatness according to Jesus. I pray that the Lord would give you ways to remember this. I pray that those around you would also help you to remember this truth. Stay humble. Stay yourself. Stay your humble self! And all the glory goes to God. The glory is all his. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

Maintain your humble, contrite and repentant heart as God won’t reject you!

Heavenly Father, good morning. Thank you for music. Yes, music can be so amazing, no words necessary! It can lift your spirit as it opens your eyes and your heart. It can set your feet tapping and your arms moving. Thank you for music! And thank you for helping me prepare for the next 26 days where I hope to have my prayers for your daughter based on women in the Bible from A to Z. But for today, I thank you for this scripture to base today’s prayer:

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. (Psalm 51:17)

Lord, I’m here. It’s me. I am anxious to begin another prayer for your daughter who loves you. Lindsey, I pray that you will continue walking with a humble and contrite heart. A gentle spirit is what God looks for and he will not reject you Lindsey. And we will give the glory to God. All the glory is his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Don’t become puffed up – Do live by your faith!

Heavenly Father, thank you for another new day started anew! Thank you for the majestic sunrise and masterpiece sunset. Thank you for the moon and the stars in the night. Thank you for the noon day sun. Thank you for the clouds with their rain and snow. Thank you for this wonderful world that you created for us. Thank you for giving us Your Word as our scriptures. And thank you for the scripture to base today’s prayer for your daughter:

Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. (Habakkuk 2:4)

Lord, what an interesting time we are in. And in the midst of the many things going on all around me, I enjoy taking time away from it all to sit with you. And now with tears I come before you on behalf of your daughter Lindsey. With tears and bated breath as you allow me a glimpse of what it can be like to be in the spotlight day after day. And so I pray another big prayer today for your daughter Lindsey who loves you so very much. Remember her this day Lord for she wants to live by her faith. Lord, be with her this day and help her walk by faith. Show her the way to walk and give her the courage to walk it. Lord, Habakkuk reminds us what it means to NOT live by faith … I ask that you help Lindsey to not stray from your path. Help her to not become puffed up. Keep her on your path and help her to keep her ego from being inflated. She wants to live with integrity Lord, so be with her every step of the way.  And we will glorify you Lord. We will sing your praises. All the glory is to you Lord. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen.
