Cling to God – You Have Seen Him Do Awesome Things
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for my taste. Thank you that I can taste my coffee. Thank you that I can taste the eggs. Thank you that I can differentiate the sweet taste of a donut from the sour taste of a grapefruit. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.
He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen. (Deuteronomy 10:20-21)
and
And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. (Jeremiah 32:40)
Lord, I’m here again and ready for another day with you. But right now I wish to lift up Lindsey, your daughter who loves you. Help her to cling to you. Help her to maintain her reverent fear of the Lord. Inspire this fear of the Lord in her heart Lord. Every day bring to mind some of the great and awesome things that she witnessed you doing. I ask that you never stop doing good for her. And we will give praise to you. We will give you the glory. All the glory is yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
What do you love? The praise of men? The praise of God? Choose!
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the ground under my feet. Thank you for solid ground below me and thank you for your Word which gives me solid ground as I walk with you on the path you set before me. And thank you for this scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. (John 12:42-43)
Lord, I’m here again, ready to lift up Lindsey to you, for she does indeed believe in you as the Christ and Messiah. Lindsey, today’s scripture talks about how many leaders truly believed in Jesus, but would not say so openly because they did not want to be expelled from the synagogue. And this warning seems to be for us today as well. Are we yearning for the praise from men more than from God? This scripture seems to tell us to act on what we believe is true, regardless of the consequences set on us by men. Lindsey, around the world people are killed for saying aloud that they believe in Jesus. Elsewhere, as in this scripture, people are kicked out of their temple for publicly acknowledging Jesus as their lord. And here in our country we see more and more people not willing to tell others that they believe in Jesus as the Messiah because they would lose the praise of the people around them, which they value more than praise from God. And so I pray this over you not Lindsey. I pray that you would have the courage to act on your belief in Jesus, regardless of the consequences. I pray that you would strive to receive praise from your God rather than simply praise and cheers from your fans. I pray that God would find ways to let you know when HE is praising you! And we will give him the glory. The glory is all his. Glory. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Rebuke from the Wise? Or Continual Praise by the Masses
Heavenly Father, good morning. Thank you for the many things that make up our reality in this world we live in. Things that are so interesting when I stop to look closely at them. This morning it was interesting how an apple packed last night inside a sealed zip-lock bag was completely wet this morning while still in that small sealed bag. And what is even more interesting is that it is water that appeared on the apple! Water is so interesting in all its many forms … especially snow, sleet, drizzle and mist. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools. (Ecclesiastes 7:5)
Lord, it’s me again. I’m here as usual to pray on behalf of Lindsey. And today, Lindsey, is a serious reminder for you from King Solomon. In Ecclesiastes he included this serious insight into how to stay on track on the path God has set before us. He looks at things you may hear today. If you have godly people around you and you start getting a bit off track, they may rebuke you for what you are saying or doing. Then you could just go look at your facebook or youtube and listen to many many people signing your praise. Solomon tells you which is better. Seek out good godly friends who will watch out for you Lindsey. And then consider their rebuke as far more precious than a thousand people singing your praise that day. And we will give the glory to God. Glory. The Glory is all his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Be one who admires! Be one who praises!
Despiser (despise) – Antonym: one who admires (admire) [dictionary]
Scoffer (scoff) – Antonym: one who praises (praise) [dictionary]
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for our minds. Thank you for minds that can see and wonder. Thank you for minds that can see letters and make out words; that can see words and make out sentences; that can see sentences and make out complete thoughts. Thank you for how our minds can understand what we see! And thank you for the scripture in the New Testament that refers back to several prophets of the Old Testament!
40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;
41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you. (Acts 13:40-41)
A prophet who spoke of this was Habakkuk:
5 Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you. (Habakkuk 1:5)
2 Kings refers to prophets also saying this:
10 And the Lord spake by his servants the prophets, saying,
11 Because Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols:
12 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle. (2 Kings 21:10-12)
Jeremiah also spoke of God doing something so unbelievable that it makes your ears tingle:
3 And say, Hear ye the word of the Lord, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle. (Jeremiah 19:3)
And so did Samuel:
11 And the Lord said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle. (1 Samuel 3:11)
Lord, it’s me again. I’m here to pray for Lindsey, your daughter who loves you. Lindsey, today’s scriptures are quite interesting. On the one hand, the prophets of the old announced to the people that God was about to do something that would seem unbelievable to them, something that would make their ears tingle! The book of Acts tells about what Paul said in the Synagogue in Antioch, and how he used what the prophets of old had announced as a WARNING to those he was speaking to. Perhaps this can be a warning to us as well, Lindsey. Paul gave his warning to the “despisers” and the “scoffers”. He warned them and even said to take care that what the prophets spoke about does not happen to them! And who was the “them”? The despisers and scoffers! So, today I pray for you Lindsey. I pray that you would not be a scoffer nor a despiser. I pray that you would not be one who despises nor one who scoffs. I pray that you strive to be the opposite of this. Yes! I pray that you would be one who admires; one who praises! Lord, I ask that you give Lindsey many opportunities to show how she is one who admires and praises. And we will give the glory to you Lord. All the glory is yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Awake Stringed Instrument – Awake Early
Heavenly Father, good morning! I welcome the new day with you. Thank you for my voice, that I can speak and others can hear. Thank you for language that we can communicate with each other. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds. (Psalm 108:1-4)
Lord, it’s me again. I am here on behalf of your daughter who loves you! I ask that you would be with her whenever she awakes early for you. Let her violin awake with her as well so that together they can praise you Lord. Let her praise you for your loyal, constant love. Your mercy is so great it reaches to the heavens. I ask that you answer her as she praises you Lord. And all the glory goes to you. The glory is all yours! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Tell the next generation about the Lord’s strength and wonderful works
Heavenly Father, good morning. What a nice bright sunny morning it is. Thank you for the sunshine. Thank you for the green grass seen everywhere once again. And thank you for the scripture to base today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. (Psalm 78:4)
Lord, I am here again. I’m here to begin today’s prayer for your daughter. Lindsey, I pray that you will be able to show the coming generation the praises of the Lord. I pray that you will be able to show them the Lord’s strength and his wonderful works. I pray that you won’t hide them from the children but will find opportunities to show them. And we will give the glory to the Lord. All the glory is his. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Blessing: May God Shine His Light On You So You May Follow His Way
May the Lord be merciful to you Lindsey and bless you. May he turn his face to shine his light on you so you may learn to follow his way.
Heavenly Father, good morning. What a glorious set of seasons and of a variety of weather you created for us. Springlike weather the past two days and a foot of snow today followed by thunderstorms and rain tomorrow. Thank you for weather that is not constantly the same and boring :) And thank you for the scripture to use to bless your daughter Lindsey:
God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. (Psalm 67:1-3)
Lord, I am happy to be here with you this morning so that I can bless your daughter you love. Lindsey, I pray that God will pour his grace and blessings into you and that his light would shine on you. May many others come to join you in praising our true God who comes to redeem nations. May his way be known across the earth. And we will give the glory to you Lord, All glory is yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Blessing: May You be Satisfied, Praise God and Never be Ashamed
I pray this blessing over you, Lindsey. May you be satisfied. May you praise the Lord and never be ashamed.
Good Morning Heavenly Father. As I walked to the bus stop this morning the wind was bitingly cold on my eyes, reminding me to take good care of this body that you gave me. Thank you for healing my knees so I can walk so well again. Thank you for restoring my feet. Thank you for refreshing my hips. Thank you for allowing me to walk around in the midst of the world you created. And thank you for the blessing for Lindsey direct from your scriptures:
And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. (Joel 2:26)
Lord, I am here this day to bless your daughter you love. I am here to bless the daughter who loves you above all. And so I say, Lindsey, I pray that you may be satisfied and that you would have all you need to eat where ever you may be. And I especially pray that you may praise the Lord and never ever be ashamed for that. I pray this blessing over you in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings, to whom we give all the glory. Amen (more…)
