The Lord trains your hands and your fingers!

I welcome another new day with your Heavenly Father. Thank you for giving us your Word as our guide. Thank you for all the people who kept it intact and those who painstakingly translated it into English so we could read it. And thank you for this scripture to use for my prayer for your daughter Lindsey who you have given great skills in her hands and fingers:

Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: (Psalm 144:1)

and

And all the women that were wise hearted did spin with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, both of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine linen. (Exodus 35:25)

and

Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work. (Exodus 35:35)

Lord, I am excited to be here with you now so that I can pray these scriptures over your daughter Lindsey, who you have gifted with great skills with her hands and her fingers. Lord, she is using your gifts. She practices to perfect the skills you gave her … even while riding in a car (see 6 second video clip below). And now I pray for your Lindsey. I pray that you would continue to find ways to use the many skills that God has given you. Use them to inspire others. Be a role model for other girls and young women. Don’t be afraid to tell them that your skills are those given to you by your gracious and generous God. And we will give the glory to him. The glory goes to God. Glory! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

Do what is right and good that all may be well with you

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the stars at night. It is so amazing to know how far away they are, yet we can see their light even from such a great distance. Thank you for placing Lindsey before the world as a bright flare and for the scripture to use in my prayer for her this day:

And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the Lord: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, (Deuteronomy 6:18)

Lord, I’m here again as usual. I’m here to lift up Lindsey to you. She loves you Lord and tries to do what is right and good in your sight. Help her to realize that many people are watching, see her flare in the night and then look at what she is doing. Lindsey, perhaps doing what is right and good for all to see is your gift to many who are looking at you after noticing your flare in the night. God has gifted you immensely. He has given you much. But much is required from those who have been given much:

But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. (Luke 12:48)

Lindsey, God has not given you so much talent and skill to just drop you in the deep end to let you fend for yourself. He is there with you. Any time you feel like faltering just pause and look around you. Pause and remember that God is there next to you and he promised that all will be well with you… just do what is right and good. Easy to see, easy to understand … but hard to do at times. I ask God to provide you with the protection you need in the midst of all the pressure that is on you as someone caught in the spotlight. And together we can give God the glory. The glory is all his. GLORY! I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Play your violin and make others well again because the Lord is with you!

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for this day. Thank you for always being with me. Thank you for being my guide and keeping my feet from slipping.  And thank you for the scripture to base today’s prayer:

And Saul’s servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee. Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well. And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.  Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Beth-lehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the Lord is with him. (1 Samuel 16:15-18)

Lord, I’m here again, anxious with joy to pray for your daughter Lindsey. She loves you Lord. You gave her the talent to play violin exceedingly well. Lindsey, I pray that you will recognize God is there with you as you play and that your cunning in playing would help others be well again. For not only are you talented, but God is with you.  I pray that you would be both valiant and prudent as David was. He was a comely person, handsome and fine-looking … but what mattered was that the Lord was with him. And so I pray that God would be with you today and for all the days of your life and that he would be part of your music wherever you play. And all the glory is to God. The glory is all his. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
