Celebrate because you understand God’s Word!

Hello Heavenly Father. Thank you for keeping my heart thankful. Thank you for helping me to see the many blessings that are poured on my family. Thank you for the many godly friends you surround me with. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength. So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved. And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them. (Nehemiah 8:10-12)

Lord, I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter who loves you. Lindsey, today’s prayer is a joyful prayer, for God’s Word is telling you to not grieve but to go and celebrate because you understand the words that have been declared unto you in God’s Word! Be filled with the joy of the Lord which is your strength. I also pray that others will see your joy in how you celebrate and that you will have a chance to tell them it is because you understand the words! I pray that you can help them to understand God’s Word as well. And together all the glory goes to God. The glory is all his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

You are not far from the kingdom of God!

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for inquisitive minds. Thank you for inventive minds. Thank you for reasoning minds. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question. (Mark 12:29-34)

Lord, I’m here again to sit with you. And right now I wish to lift up Lindsey, your daughter who loves you with all her heart, soul and strength. And so I ask that you show her that she is not far from the kingdom of God today. Show her how close she is to your Kingdom Lord. Give her a word or a vision. Let this knowledge help her to walk closer to you each day. And we will give you the glory. The glory is all yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

The Lord trains your hands and your fingers!

I welcome another new day with your Heavenly Father. Thank you for giving us your Word as our guide. Thank you for all the people who kept it intact and those who painstakingly translated it into English so we could read it. And thank you for this scripture to use for my prayer for your daughter Lindsey who you have given great skills in her hands and fingers:

Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: (Psalm 144:1)

and

And all the women that were wise hearted did spin with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, both of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine linen. (Exodus 35:25)

and

Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work. (Exodus 35:35)

Lord, I am excited to be here with you now so that I can pray these scriptures over your daughter Lindsey, who you have gifted with great skills with her hands and her fingers. Lord, she is using your gifts. She practices to perfect the skills you gave her … even while riding in a car (see 6 second video clip below). And now I pray for your Lindsey. I pray that you would continue to find ways to use the many skills that God has given you. Use them to inspire others. Be a role model for other girls and young women. Don’t be afraid to tell them that your skills are those given to you by your gracious and generous God. And we will give the glory to him. The glory goes to God. Glory! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

NLT: Praise the LORD, who is my rock. He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle. (Psalm 144:1) [resources]

NETEvery woman who was skilled spun with her hands and brought what she had spun, blue, purple, or scarlet yarn, or fine linen, (Exodus 35:25) [resources]

ESV: He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer. (Exodus 35:35) [resources]

Do not be dismayed or discouraged for God will strengthen and help you

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for birds. Thank you for the wide variety of birds. Thank you for letting us see how they can fly together, even at times in a formation. And thank you for the scriptures for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10)

followed by:

For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. (Isaiah 41:13)

Lord, I am here again. I am here on behalf of your daughter you love. Lindsey, if the God of the universe is holding your right hand, what need you be afraid of? If the all powerful God says he will help and uphold you, need you be dismayed? If your zealous compassionate God is strengthening you, need you be discouraged? No, these are not trick questions! Rather they are asking you to remember God’s promises to you. Lord, I ask that you find ways to show Lindsey first hand how you will hold her right hand. I ask that you reveal a bit of your mighty strength to her so that she can KNOW that she need not be afraid. Lord I ask that you place people in her path that can remind of these things. People who will encourage her. Lindsey, you are the daughter of the King – he will not abandon you. He never forgets you. He is with you right now and every moment of your life. And so we gladly give all the glory to him. The glory all goes to God. Glory! I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen  (more…)

The Joy of the Lord is your Strength

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the wind. We know not where it comes from nor where it goes. We cannot see it yet we know it is there. Thank you for the wind to be an example for us in these ways. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.

And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the Lord your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength. (Nehemiah 8:8-10)

Lord, I’m here. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter who loves you and loves reading your word each day. Lindsey, this is a good scripture to remember as you read God’s Word and see how you may not have been living it out fully. Nehemiah, Ezra and the Levites saw the people weeping as they heard the Word of God. They told the people to not weep but to celebrate for a day when you gain understanding of God’s Word is holy. Lindsey, may each day be holy for you as you gain understanding to what you read in God’s Word. Rejoice knowing that the JOY OF THE LORD is your strength! And we will give the glory to God. All the glory is his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Do what people want? Or rather do what God wants regardless of the cost?!

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the new day. Thank you for bringing clarity back to my mind. Thank you for promising that I can start each day anew and not have to start where I left off the prior night. Thank you for the day anew with you! And thank you for the scripture to use for this prayer for Lindsey:

And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them, Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.

Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.  And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them. Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.  For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.  After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.  And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:  But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.  And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.  And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. (Acts 5:27-42)

Lord, I’m here again on behalf of your daughter Lindsey. She is not afraid to publicly acknowledge Jesus, even though each time it brings a backlash from those watching her. Lindsey, whenever you do this it is significant. People notice when you don’t bow down to public pressure to leave Jesus out of your public life (as if he could be put in a box on a shelf while in the public eye). Lord, I ask that you continue to give Lindsey the courage and strength to keep you in front of her all day long, especially in public. I ask that you grant her the grace she needs to actually rejoice when people put her down for this. I ask that you fill her with your joy and that your joy would make her strong. And we will give you the glory. Glory. The glory is all yours Lord. I ask this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Be content and courageous every day. Never be afraid for God promised to never leave you.

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the new day. Thank you for the reflections in the water on the streets. Thank you for the ripples of slowly falling rain drops in the puddles. And thank you for the scriptures for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (Hebrews 13:5)

Yes, in Joshua he said:

There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. (Joshua 1:5)

And a few lines later he rephrases it:

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. (Joshua 1:9)

Lord, I am here again and ready to begin a new prayer for Lindsey your daughter you love. Lindsey, today I pray courage over you. This day I pray contentedness around you. I pray that you would be content in any and all situations. I pray that wherever you go, that you would always remember that God is there with you. Lord, I ask that each day you find a way to show yourself to Lindsey, to call to her mind that you are there with her just as you promised. Lindsey, remember that God will never leave you nor fail you so you can walk with courage and need never to be afraid. And all the glory goes to God. The glory is all to God. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Tell the next generation about the Lord’s strength and wonderful works

Heavenly Father, good morning. What a nice bright sunny morning it is. Thank you for the sunshine. Thank you for the green grass seen everywhere once again. And thank you for the scripture to base today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. (Psalm 78:4)

Lord, I am here again. I’m here to begin today’s prayer for your daughter. Lindsey, I pray that you will be able to show the coming generation the praises of the Lord. I pray that you will be able to show them the Lord’s strength and his wonderful works.  I pray that you won’t hide them from the children but will find opportunities to show them. And we will give the glory to the Lord. All the glory is his. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Blessing: May Your Inner Man be Filled with the Fullness of Love, Faith and Understanding

Another special blessing for you today Lindsey! I ask that the Lord would strengthen your inner man (or shall we say inner woman) through his spirit. I ask that Christ would dwell in your heart and that you would be grounded in love. Finally, I ask that you would know the love of Christ and that your entire being would be filled with all the fullness of God.

Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you for another day with you. Thank you for the godly friends you surround me with. Thank you for granting me more of your wisdom this day. Show me the way to go and give me the courage to walk it, and words when I need them. And especially thank you for this special scripture that is the basis for my blessing over your daughter today:

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. (Ephesians 3:14-19)

Lord, I am here to bless your daughter Lindsey again today. Lindsey, it is a joy to bless you today with another special blessing! I pray that from his unlimited resources the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth would empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. I pray that God’s love would keep you strong and that you would grow to understand how wide, how long, how high and how deep God’s love for you is. May you experience the love of Christ and be made complete with the fullness of life that comes from God. And we will give all the glory to you Lord. The glory is all yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Blessing: May God Restore, Strengthen and Place you on a Firm Foundation

Lindsey, today I bless you. God has called you into his glory. May he restore and support you, confirm and make you perfect and may he strengthen and place you on a firm foundation.

Heavenly Father, thank you for being so very near to me these past few days, helping me to collect 40 blessings pulled directly from scriptures to pray over your daughter you love. I now eagerly anticipate each day when I will get to pray each of these blessings over you Lindsey. And today’s blessing comes from this scripture:

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (1 Peter 5:10)

Lord, I am exceedingly happy to be here with you so that I can begin my next blessing over your daughter Lindsey, for you have called her to your eternal glory by Jesus Christ. Lindsey, you may suffer a while (actually it is a promise, not just a maybe), but afterwards you will be restored and strengthened as God makes you perfect and establishes you. I pray this blessing over you today and we can give the glory to God. All the glory goes to him. Amen (more…)
