As you walk in God’s ways, may you rejoice in your heart
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for nuts (the kinds that I eat:) Almonds and cashews are so good. Thank you for the huge variety of things that we can eat. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. (Psalm 19:8)
Lord, I’m here again to lift up Lindsey to you. She loves you and strives to follow your ways and obey your commandments. So I pray that you would continue to provide rejoicing for her heart. I pray that you would enlighten her eyes and give her insight on living. Many people in the world are watching your daughter. I pray that they notice how she rejoices from her heart and has a keen insight for living. I pray that they will also notice that it is connected with how she strives to walk in your ways Lord. And we will give you the glory. The glory is all yours. Glory! I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Cling to God and Walk in His Ways
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for how a breeze can rustle the leaves in a tree. Thank you for how the wind can actually move the branches in a tree back and forth, bending it ever so slightly in the direction that it is blowing. But also thank you for showing the power of something that cannot be seen when strong winds actually break branches from trees and even uproot them completely. What is not seen can definitely be real. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him; Then will the Lord drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves. Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be. (Deuteronomy 11:22-24)
Lord, it’s me. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter who loves you. She clings to you Lord as she strives to always walk in your ways. She diligently sets guidelines for her tour company and is careful that their time on the bus and at each location honors you Lord. I ask that you continue to shower her and her tour company with your love and your grace. Smile as they enjoy life together. Let them hear you laugh with them as they have fun wherever they go. Lord, I ask that as Lindsey cleaves unto you that you will be with her everywhere that the soles of her feet shall tread and that you will guard her and keep her safe in you. And we give the glory to you Lord. All the glory is yours. I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Watch who you sit, stand and walk with. Delight in God’s Word.
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for quiet. Thank for the still moments in the day and the night that we can pause to meditate upon your Word. Thank you for this delight. Thank you for bringing meaning to the words in your Word and bringing it alive for us. And thank you for the scripture for your daughter Lindsey today:
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. (Psalm 1:1-2)
Lord, I’m here again. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter you love. She strives to avoid walking according to the advice of the ungodly. Lord, I ask that you surround her with godly advisers. Lord, I ask that people she trusts will give her godly advice. Lindsey, I pray that you find delight in God’s Word each day as you read it. I pray that you find joy in meditating over it’s words. I pray that you find ways to rejoice in how God’s Word shows you how to live. I ask that the Lord would light the way before you today and give you the courage you need to walk on that path. And we will give the glory to God. All the glory is his. Glory! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for restoring my health. Thank you for our wonderful bodies that you designed to recover from bumps and scrapes as well as many ailments. And thank you for reminding us of your many good things you hold in store for us, including for your daughter Lindsey:
For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:11)
Lord, I’m here. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey who loves you and strives to walk uprightly each and every day. She aims to live with integrity before all those around her and to do what is right. Lindsey, today it is my joy to pray the joy of this scripture over you! Yes indeed! I pray that God would continue to be your sun and your shield … that he would continue to be your protector everywhere you go. I pray that he would grant you a double portion of grace and glory today. I pray that he would bestow favor and honor on you. I pray that he would continue to shower you with his many good gifts that he has in store for you. And we will praise him this day. Sing praises to your God today Lindsey, for he is good. God will be with you if you listen, walk in his ways and do what is right in his sight
Heavenly Father, good morning. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for loving Lindsey. Thank you for the scripture to use for my prayer for her this day:
And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do that is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto thee. (1 Kings 11:38)
Lord, I’m here again. As usual, I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, the daughter you love. I ask that you be with her today and the days to come. I ask that you be with her as she strives to listen to hear your voice. I ask that you be with her as she sets a goal to walk in your ways and to do what is right. And we will give the glory to you Lord. The glory is all yours. I ask this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
May God grant you a long life where all is well for you as you walk in his ways and doing what he asks of you.
Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for helping me maintain a thankful heart. Thank you that I remember to thank you! I am truly grateful for your many blessings you have given me. I appreciate your protection and provision every day. And now I also thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
And the Lord heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the Lord said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken. O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever! Go say to them, Get you into your tents again. But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it. Ye shall observe to do therefore as the Lord your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess. (Deuteronomy 5:28-33)
Lord, here I am, as usual. I am here to lift Lindsey up to you this day. She loves you Lord and wants to follow your ways. I ask that you open her mind and her heart to know your commandments. I ask that you give her the will to carefully obey them all. Lindsey, you know what God is asking of you. Don’t turn to the right nor the left. Stay on the path God shows you and walk in his ways! Then I ask the Lord to grant you a long life where all is well for you. And we will give God the glory in all those days. Glory! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
May Your Heart Rejoice as You Walk to the Music!
Heavenly Father, good morning. Thank you for history. Thank you for how records are kept. Thank you for being there throughout history. Thank you for being with Isaiah as he wrote the scripture you gave me to use for today’s prayer for Lindsey:
Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the Lord, to the mighty One of Israel. (Isaiah 30:29)
Lord, it’s me. I’m here… as always. I look forward to our time together. And now I am ready to lift up your daughter. Lord, I ask that you draw her to you. I ask that you lead her into your mountain. I ask that you let her know that you are there. Give her a song Lord. Put gladness into her heart. She is looking. She is searching. She is seeking you Lord. Let her find you. Let it be the new song you give to her. Let it be the gladness of heart in that song. Let that be her walk. Let her walk to your song Lord. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours. I ask this all in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Blessing: May you walk in God’s Ways Keeping All His Commands
Today I bless you Lindsey and remind you that the Lord will not leave you, will not abandon you, and will not forsake you. May you incline your heart unto him and walk in obedience in all his ways.
Heavenly Father, good morning. This morning I woke up refreshed and new and all is well. Thank you for being with me while I sleep. Thank you for being with me while I am awake! Thank you for showing me the way and then walking with me on that path. And thank you for the scripture that I am using as a basis for blessing your daughter Lindsey today:
The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us: That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers. (1 Kings 8:57-58)
Lord, here I am. Hear me. Hear my blessing over you daughter who loves you. Lindsey, today I bless you and remind you of something you already know (for Peter advised us to remind each other of things we know – see scripture below). God will never leave you. God is with you … right now! And right now I pray that you will incline your heart unto him and walk in his ways, knowing that he is right there walking with you. I bless you in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. All the glory is to God. We give you the glory Lord. Amen
BONUS SCRIPTURE (remind others of things they already know):
Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. (2 Peter 1:12)
Blessing – Prosper and Success wherever you go
Lindsey, I bless you this day. May you carefully keep the charge of the Lord and walk in his ways so that you may prosper in everything you do and wherever you go.
Heavenly Father, hello! Thank you for the sky… complete with clouds – and not just one kind of clouds but several kinds of clouds. Today the clouds are wispy and are quite beautiful. And thank you for letting me have an extra blessing for your daughter today … a bonus blessing for this February which is only 28 days this year – next year it will be 29 days!
And keep the charge of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself (1 Kings 2:3)
Lord, here I am … needing some rest, some rest with you! I ask that you grant me rest and help me to be refreshed while I set up the bonus blessing for the daughter you love! Lindsey, today I remind you to continue to observe what the Lord is asking of you and to continue to walk in his ways. Then I pray that you will prosper and have success in all that you do and wherever you may go. And we both will glorify the Lord. All the glory is yours Lord. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
(W) Walk (and Dance) in the Light
Today’s prayer seems to be an extra special one … a tiny group of us meets every weekday at a coffeeshop or at Wendy’s from 7-8am to read scriptures aloud around our table … and now and then we pause to share thoughts that we have regarding the scriptures. And today one of the people mentioned dancing to the Lord or dancing for the Lord … and I had to say … wow, that is part of my prayer I was just typing before we started our reading! And so I need to expand this prayer a bit and add a second scripture to it referencing how king David danced before the Lord!
Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you for a wonderful morning feeling fully refreshed. Thank you for the many things that I can eat and drink, the vast amount, all different. Thank you for showing us that unique can be good! Thank you for being my guide and lighting the path for me to walk… and for the scripture for the letter W for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)
Lord, today it is even more a joy to be here with you than usual. The scripture for today’s prayer is so very applicable to your daughter you love … for she strives to walk in the light not only in her private life but also in public. But today I pray that you would show her how she also can dance in the light. Lord, I ask you to find ways for her to make dancing in the light part of her. Show her the way to do this Lord. Perhaps King David can be an example for her (see the ESV translation to help understand the Old English):
And it was told king David, saying, The Lord hath blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the city of David with gladness. And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the Lord had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings. And David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet. And as the ark of the Lord came into the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart. And they brought in the ark of the Lord, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord. And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord of hosts. And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house. Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself! And David said unto Michal, It was before the Lord, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel: therefore will I play before the Lord. And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour. Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death. (2 Samuel 6:12-22)
So let there be a celebration, let there be a party, let there be a dancing party. Lord, I ask that you sit with your daughter, that you walk with your daughter, that you DANCE and PLAY with your daughter in front of many crowds of people. Let the dance and the music be to you Lord. Let others know that we can celebrate with all our might before the Lord. Some of those around your daughter may not approve of this, however, but we know that you, Lord, DO approve, and so I pray that you will give your daughter the courage and strength to dance and play before you regardless of what others might say. And we will give all the glory to you. All the glory is yours Lord. I ask this all in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
