Desire a Good Name and Good Reputation More Than Great Wealth

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for my breath and my life. Thank you for hands and fingers that work so well. Thank you for my knees and my feet that I can get around so easily. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. (Proverbs 22:1)

Lord, I’m here again as usual. I am here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter who loves you more than silver and gold. Lindsey, today I pray that you review your life again. Watch that your desire is to maintain your good name and good reputation rather than accumulate wealth and riches. This scripture indicates that it is a choice that is before you. I pray that God would help you make the better choice. Follow his way and watch your reputation soar. And the glory goes to God. All the glory is his. Glory! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

NASB:
A good name is to be more desired than great wealth,
Favor is better than silver and gold.

GNT:
If you have to choose between a good reputation and great wealth, choose a good reputation.

KJV translation note

The King James Version is a beautiful translation of the original Hebrew and Greek, however I sometimes find Old English hard to understand fully. 1 or 2 other translations can help clarify what it is saying so I can understand it. More Info CLICK: References
