(M) God is Marvelous
Heavenly Father, thank you for the wonderful universe you created for us. Thank you for the HUGE stars (so big I cannot fathom their largeness). Thank you for the TINY that we cannot see with our eyes or even with normal microscopes. Thank you for letting us see the fine details of your design of the cell finally. It is utterly amazing! Thank you for the tiny and the huge. And thank you for the scripture that reminds us that you are MARVELOUS (the letter M for today):
And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. (Revelation 15:3)
Lord, I am here now to lift up your daughter Lindsey who loves you so much. She enjoys music and so she would be thrilled to hear the songs being sung by the angels! We know from your scriptures that music is important to you Lord … they even assigned people to play musical instruments and sing praises to you! I ask that today you inspire Lindsey with another tune that she can play for you. Grant her many many more musical inspirations this new year. And we will give the praise to you. (L) God is Love
Happy New Year Heavenly Father! A good year has passed and now we look forward to an even better year to come. Thank you for reminding us that we can start each day of this coming year new with you. We need not start where we left off the night before, but start the new day fresh, anew! Thank you Lord. And thank you for telling us all about yourself and the letter L to remind us that you ARE love!
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. (1 John 4:16.)
Lord, I am overjoyed to be here with you this morning. And it is my pleasure to come before you on behalf of your daughter you love dearly. She knows that you are a God of love, but I ask that you make today a very special day for her where you make it crystal clear that you ARE love … that God is Love! And then we both will give you all the glory for all the glory is yours Lord. All the glory! I ask this all in the name and with the authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen. (more…)
(K) God is Kind
Heavenly Father, thank you for this wonderful night, for the moon in the sky, only a crescent but still bright enough to light up the street for me to see where to walk. Thank you for the stars – not just dozens of them, nor hundreds of them or even thousands of them. You created stars in the billions just for us to see when we look up at the night sky! You did this all for us! Thank you Lord! And thank you for the scripture that speaks of your kindness for the letter K:
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:7)
Lord, let me just pause to sit with you this time. Let me just rest here with you. And after I rest a while, then let me speak on behalf of your daughter Lindsey. She is your daughter and I ask that you shower her with your loving kindness. Let her feel your kindness upon her this day as if it were exceeding riches, immeasurable riches, incomparable riches! Make it plain to her that this is all from you. Let your kindness and grace be her riches and wealth. And we will give all the glory to you Lord. The glory is all yours! (J) God is Just and our Justifier
Good Morning Heavenly Father! We welcome this new day along with the birds, along with the squirrels. We see how you watch out for them in the winter, so we know that you will also be watching over us. Thank you for taking such good care of us Lord. And thank you for the letter J which reminds us that you are just and the justifier of those who believe in Jesus:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. (Romans 3:23-26)
Lord, it is me again. I am here to lift up the daughter you love. I am here on behalf of your daughter Lindsey. Lord, she firmly believes in Jesus and has publicly declared her belief. So I ask that she may be justified by your grace. Lord, you are just and justifier. And we thank you for this. We give you all the glory. All the glory is yours. (H) God is Holy
Good Morning Heavenly Father. What a marvelous creation you have created for us. There is beauty everywhere if we look for it. I just was amazed at a huge flower that blossomed right here before me. It was far larger than my entire hand. Thank you for creating such beauty … such a beautiful blooming flower that lasts only a few days. How much more can we be sure you will take good care of us! Thank you Lord! And thank your for the scripture about yourself for the letter H for today’s prayer:
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. (1 Peter 1:15-16)
Lord, I am back again. I’m here to pray for your holy daughter, Lindsey. She wants to be holy just as you say that she is. I ask that you help her in her quest to be holy. I ask that you keep her on track this day and that you find ways to let her know how well she is doing! And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. PRAYER:
Good Morning Heavenly Father. Today I am happy to say Merry Christmas to people I meet as I remember to celebrate the birth of Jesus, of Emmanuel, and remember that indeed God is with us! Thank you for sending your Son to remove the guilt of our sin knowing that He would need to die to reconcile us with you! Thus this is more than a happy birthday wish to Jesus. This is an on my knees thank you for coming to save us Jesus! And today for the letter E we acknowledge his coming as Emmanuel:
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1:23)
Lord, here I am on this special day knowing that you are always there for me. You don’t close shop for holidays or holy days. You are with us always. And today my prayer for your delightful daughter celebrates that you are with her! I pray that Lindsey would feel your presence all around her today as she celebrates the coming of Emmanuel. And we give the glory to you Lord. All the glory is yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, Emmanuel. Amen. (more…)
(B) Jesus is The Bread of Life
Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you for another day with you. Thank you for another day praising you in my prayers for your daughter Lindsey. Thank you for letting us see the many aspects of God through your Word. And today is one for our second letter, B. Thank you for this scripture for today’s prayer:
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. (John 6:35)
Lord, I am so happy to be able to praise you in prayer again this day. And today I thank you for being the bread of life for your daughter Lindsey. When she comes to you this day, let her not be hungry. And as she believes in you today, let her not thirst. Fill her to the brim Lord. And we will give you the glory. All the glory we give to you Lord. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, the Bread of Life! Amen (more…)
(A) Christ is Ascended Far Above All Heavens
Heavenly Father, it is wonderful that today my prayers for your daughter Lindsey can center around you Lord, center around your many facets, so many that I will strive to highlight one for each of the letters of our alphabet in the coming days, beginning today with the letter A. Thank you for revealing so much about yourself to us through you Word. Thank you for all the scribes who painstakingly and meticulously copied manuscripts of your Word as well as the many who carefully translated the Hebrew and Greek into English so that we can read and understand it ourselves today. Thank you Lord! And thank you for the scripture to begin with … the scripture that reminds us that Christ has ascended!
But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) (Ephesians 4:7-10)
Lord, today I come before you to begin several weeks of prayers for Lindsey by acknowledging bits and pieces of who you are! You are awesome and amazing. We thank you for sending your son Jesus to earth to atone for our sins. And today my prayer of praise is that Jesus died for our sins, was raised from the dead and then forty days later was ascended up into heaven! Thank you Lord! Let us pause to praise you for this. And now we give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. All the glory is yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings, who sits on the right hand of God. Amen (more…)
Is it not even you?
Heavenly Father come fill my mind. When there is chaos around me, come fill my mind. Thank you for never leaving me. Thank you for being here with me. Thank you for calming my mind when I ask. Thank you for loving me. And thank you for the joyful scripture to base this day’s prayer for your daughter, Lindsey.
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? (1 Thessalonians 2:19)
Lord, here I am again. I come before you with confidence this day to raise up your daughter Lindsey. For is it not her? Is it not her that is our hope, our joy and our crown of rejoicing? Yes, as she walks with you, Lord, Lindsey is that joy. I ask that you fill her with even more of the joy of the Lord this day. Let her glow as she remains in your presence! And we will give all the glory to you. We give you the glory Lord. Yes! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen. (more…)
Don’t be fearful!
Hello Father … right now I am thankful for hot and cold running water. Help me to not take for granted such things as not everyone is as fortunate as I am. Thank you for loving me. Thank you Lord. And thank you for showing me the scripture to use for this day’s prayer for your daughter who tries to walk with you every day:
And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? (Mark 4:40)
Lord, it’s me again. I am persistent in coming to you each day to lift up Lindsey and pray both big and small prayers for her. Today I pray that you increase her faith so that she need not be fearful. If a feeling of fear comes over her, I pray that you show her a better way. If she is ever afraid, strengthen her faith so that she remembers that she can totally rely on you Lord. Totally! You love her and so she can confidently walk with you without fear. And as she walks with you this way, we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen. (more…)
