Continue to be Zealous for God and ignore any resulting insults

Heavenly Father, good morning. Wow, quite a thunderstorm this morning. More of your awesome thunder and lightning, but especially the downpour of rain. I am amazed at how you have arranged to store up tons of water up in the clouds and then release it as rain at the right times. Your are an amazing God and worthy of our praise! Thank you Lord. And thank you for the scripture that I should use for today’s prayer for your daughter who loves you:

For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me. (Psalm 69:9)

Lord, I’m here. I am ready to pray for Lindsey again, and today’s scripture is a very good one for her this day! Lindsey, I pray that you continue to be zealous for God, for his name and for his house. I ask God to protect you from the insults and reproach that result from your public acknowledgement of your God. I pray that you remain zealous regardless of the insults that you know will come at you. I pray that the joy of the Lord would be your strength at those times. Remain joyful Lindsey. And we will give the glory to God. All the glory is his. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Blessing: May God Shine His Light On You So You May Follow His Way

May the Lord be merciful to you Lindsey and bless you. May he turn his face to shine his light on you so you may learn to follow his way.

Heavenly Father, good morning. What a glorious set of seasons and of a variety of weather you created for us. Springlike weather the past two days and a foot of snow today followed by thunderstorms and rain tomorrow. Thank you for weather that is not constantly the same and boring :) And thank you for the scripture to use to bless your daughter Lindsey:

God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. (Psalm 67:1-3)

Lord, I am happy to be here with you this morning so that I can bless your daughter you love. Lindsey, I pray that God will pour his grace and blessings into you and that his light would shine on you. May many others come to join you in praising our true God who comes to redeem nations. May his way  be known across the earth. And we will give the glory to you Lord, All glory is yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Blessing: May you see how good the Lord is

Lindsey, since you have placed your trust in the Lord, I bless you and pray that you will see the goodness of the Lord. I pray that he will show you how good and wonderful he is to all those who take shelter in him, as you have.

Heavenly Father, good morning! I welcome another day surrounded by your creation. I just saw an interesting documentary on the Monarch butterfly which migrates from Canada to Mexico and back, and the experts were wondering how they can navigate to precisely the right place and the right time (as well as how they can even make that LONG trip at all). And so I thank you for the beautiful butterflies that you created for us enjoy! And thank you also for the scripture that I am to use to bless your daughter today:

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. (Psalm 34:8)

Lord, I am here again. I am here to bless your daughter who loves and trusts in you. Lindsey, today I bless you with all the good gifts that the Lord showers upon you. You have but a taste of how good the Lord is. I pray that you hunger and thirst for him and that the Lord will continue to bless you in this each and every day. And we will give the glory to the Lord. All the glory is yours Lord. Amen (more…)

Blessing: You are Blessed Because You Believe in Jesus

Lindsey, today’s blessing is from Jesus who says that you are blessed because you believe even though you have not seen him. I bless you today in the name of Jesus.

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the beauty in the world around me. Thank you for the joy in your creation which is there for all to see always. And thank you for the blessing from scripture that I can use to bless your daughter Lindsey:

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. (John 20:29)

And the scripture that came to mind when I was thankful for the beauty and joy in the creation around us:

Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side. The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing. (Psalm 65:11-13)

Lord, I am glad to be able to be with you now to bless your daughter this day with words originally spoken by Jesus! Yes! Lindsey, you are blessed today for though you have not seen Jesus, you believe in him. And we both can give all the glory to God. The glory is all  his. I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Blessing: Skip About, Frolic and Leap for Joy

Lindsey, today I bless you with youthful joy, with joyful youth. May you playfully frolic and skip about, leaping with joy, for the Lord is right there with you, delighting in you!

Heavenly Father, good morning. Thank you for my breath and my life. Thank you for my beating heart and my working mind. Thank you for healing my knees and watching over me all these years. And thank you for the scripture that provides the blessing for your daughter today (plus see note at the bottom):

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. (Malachi 4:2)

Lord, it is a joy to be here, to be sitting with you, to be talking with you. And this morning I offer a blessing over your daughter you love. Lindsey, I am not a farmer, so I am not familiar with how calves behave, so I tried to clarify this using multiple translations. And so this day, as I bless you, I pray that you will grow up as calves of the stall, that you would go out LEAPING, that you would go out and PLAYFULLY JUMP, that you would go forth and SKIP ABOUT, that you would go out and FROLIC, that you would go free, LEAPING WITH JOY, that you would go out SPRINGING from your stall. Yes … I pray all this over you this day. Go forth leaping, playfully jumping, skipping about, frolicking, leaping with joy and springing from your room. And we will give all the glory to the Lord. All glory to you Lord. I pray this over you in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

NOTE: How very interesting that the day after the day of this prayer, as we sat around a table in a coffee shop reading scriptures aloud between ourselves, that another scripture also referenced a calf skipping. Plus a person in our tiny group mentioned that just a couple years ago she was helping/working at a petting farm which had a baby calf and that it really did skip and jump and leap around! (until it got tired and laid down to nap). Here is the scripture we read the next day:

The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars; yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon. He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn. (Psalm 29:6)

(U) You are Upheld and Restored with the Joy of Your Salvation

Heavenly Father, good day! Thank you for another day! It’s cold (below zero), but never-the-less it is a good day to spend with you. Thank you for being with me every day. And thank you for the scripture to base my prayer today for your daughter Lindsey for the letter U:

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. (Psalm 51:12)

Lord, I’m here again. Coming to sit with you to lift up your daughter each day is important. Praying for her helps lift my spirits as well. And today I pray that you uphold your daughter with your generous, willing and free spirit. Let her actually feel upheld! And I also ask that you restore to Lindsey the JOY of her salvation. Fill her with you joy Lord. Let her be so full of joy that others can see it in her eyes, in her words and in her walk. And we will give you all the glory. The glory is yours! I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

(R) You are Redeemed, Rescued and Renewed

Heavenly Father, today I look up and give you praise for this wonderful world and for sending your son Jesus to suffer and die for sins that we committed. Thank you for rescuing and redeeming us and for renewing us each day. And thank you for the scripture for the letter R:

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:2-5)

Yep, it’s me. Lord. I’m here. I couldn’t wait for another time with you on behalf of your daughter Lindsey. You have rescued and redeemed her Lord. You have renewed her youth. And today I ask that you let her feel like one who has been rescued, one who has been redeemed. I ask that she feel the youth in her being renewed by you Lord. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. I ask this all in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

(N) You have a New Song

Good Morning Heavenly Father! I saw several kinds of birds the other day. Thank you for taking care of them even in the middle of a freezing cold winter! Thank you for the many birds and animals that you created and watch over. Thank you for creating each of us in your image and watching over us as well. And thank you for the scripture to use for my prayer this day for the letter N:

And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. (Psalm 40:3)

Lord, I’m here again… I came to sit with you and to lift up your daughter Lindsey. She has music in her and expresses it in ways that encourage many people. So today I ask that you teach her a new song, that you put a new song in her heart, and that you help her to express it for others to hear. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. I ask this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

(M) You are Made by God

Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you the bright sun shiny day, welcome in the midst of winter. Thank you for holding everything together. Thank you for being our guide. Thank you for my life and my breath and for the scripture for the letter M that reminds us that you have made us:

Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. (Psalm 100:3)

Lord, I’m here again, as usual, to pray for your daughter Lindsey. You made her Lord. And she acknowledges that you Lord are God. She knows this! Today I ask that you call to her mind your wonders, that you made her, that she is yours, part of your people, part of your flock. You made her Lord, and we know that you will watch over her. And so we give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

(G) You are Crowned with Glory and Honor

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Wow, what a beautiful and extremely bright moon in the early morning sky this morning. Thank you for creating this wonderful world with it’s moon at night and the sun in the day. And thank you for the scripture that is for your daughter Lindsey for the letter G:

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. (Psalm 8:5)

Lord, how nice to come sit with you again, to find rest sitting with you. I am here on behalf of your daughter you love again today. You have crowned her with both glory and with honor. I ask that as she goes about her day today that everyone she meets can see that glory and sense that honor. Let her carry this glory and honor with her wherever she goes this day. And we will give you all the glory and praise. I ask this in the name and with the authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
