Blessing: You are Blessed Because You Believe in Jesus

Lindsey, today’s blessing is from Jesus who says that you are blessed because you believe even though you have not seen him. I bless you today in the name of Jesus.

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the beauty in the world around me. Thank you for the joy in your creation which is there for all to see always. And thank you for the blessing from scripture that I can use to bless your daughter Lindsey:

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. (John 20:29)

And the scripture that came to mind when I was thankful for the beauty and joy in the creation around us:

Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side. The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing. (Psalm 65:11-13)

Lord, I am glad to be able to be with you now to bless your daughter this day with words originally spoken by Jesus! Yes! Lindsey, you are blessed today for though you have not seen Jesus, you believe in him. And we both can give all the glory to God. The glory is all  his. I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ, King of kings. Amen

NLT:
Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”

and also NLT:
You crown the year with a bountiful harvest;

even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.
The grasslands of the wilderness become a lush pasture,
and the hillsides blossom with joy.
The meadows are clothed with flocks of sheep,
and the valleys are carpeted with grain.
They all shout and sing for joy!

ESV:
Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me?Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

KJV translation note

The King James Version is a beautiful translation of the original Hebrew and Greek, however I sometimes find Old English hard to understand fully. 1 or 2 other translations can help clarify what it is saying so I can understand it. More Info CLICK: References
