Get Up and Pray!
Hello Heavenly Father. Thank you for keeping my teeth in good shape. Thank you for how teeth are so essential to eating, which in turn is essential for life. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
[Jesus speaking] And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. (Luke 22:46)
Lord, I’m here again as usual. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter who loves you. Lindsey, today I pray that you will do all that you can to avoid falling into temptation. Jesus seems to be saying that at times it is good to wake up even while very sleepy. He suggests waking up to pray! So praying is one way to avoid temptation. Thus I pray for you now Lindsey. I pray that you would not enter into temptation. Draw a line that you will not cross. Maintain your integrity. Many are watching! You are their role model even if you don’t know them. Continue to remind them that you read scriptures daily … that you pray every day. And together we will give the glory to God. The glory is all his. Glory! Praise God with your violin among many nations
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for hummingbirds, so small and pretty as they dart here and there between their favorite flowers. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise. Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations. (Psalm 57:7-9)
Lord, I’m here again. I so look forward to the times when I can simply sit with you. And now I offer up another prayer for your daughter. She has the musical talent and skills. She is filled with the joy of the Lord. And now I ask what seems to be a big prayer. Let her heart be fixed on you God. Let her heart be ready. Let her be determined Lord. Wake her early so she can sing and play to you. Let her wake the sleepy dawn with praise. Let this be her joy regardless of what nation she is in. And we will give you the glory. The glory is all yours Lord. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Awake Stringed Instrument – Awake Early
Heavenly Father, good morning! I welcome the new day with you. Thank you for my voice, that I can speak and others can hear. Thank you for language that we can communicate with each other. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds. (Psalm 108:1-4)
Lord, it’s me again. I am here on behalf of your daughter who loves you! I ask that you would be with her whenever she awakes early for you. Let her violin awake with her as well so that together they can praise you Lord. Let her praise you for your loyal, constant love. Your mercy is so great it reaches to the heavens. I ask that you answer her as she praises you Lord. And all the glory goes to you. The glory is all yours! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
