Get Up and Pray!

Hello Heavenly Father. Thank you for keeping my teeth in good shape. Thank you for how teeth are so essential to eating, which in turn is essential for life. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

[Jesus speaking] And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. (Luke 22:46)

Lord, I’m here again as usual. I’m here on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter who loves you. Lindsey, today I pray that you will do all that you can to avoid falling into temptation. Jesus seems to be saying that at times it is good to wake up even while very sleepy.  He suggests waking up to pray! So praying is one way to avoid temptation. Thus I pray for you now Lindsey. I pray that you would not enter into temptation. Draw a line that you will not cross. Maintain your integrity. Many are watching! You are their role model even if you don’t know them. Continue to remind them that you read scriptures daily … that you pray every day. And together we will give the glory to God. The glory is all his. Glory! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

HCSB:
“Why are you sleeping?” He asked them. “Get up and pray, so that you won’t enter into temptation.”

KJV translation note

The King James Version is a beautiful translation of the original Hebrew and Greek, however I sometimes find Old English hard to understand fully. 1 or 2 other translations can help clarify what it is saying so I can understand it. More Info CLICK: References
