(K) God is Kind
Heavenly Father, thank you for this wonderful night, for the moon in the sky, only a crescent but still bright enough to light up the street for me to see where to walk. Thank you for the stars – not just dozens of them, nor hundreds of them or even thousands of them. You created stars in the billions just for us to see when we look up at the night sky! You did this all for us! Thank you Lord! And thank you for the scripture that speaks of your kindness for the letter K:
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:7)
Lord, let me just pause to sit with you this time. Let me just rest here with you. And after I rest a while, then let me speak on behalf of your daughter Lindsey. She is your daughter and I ask that you shower her with your loving kindness. Let her feel your kindness upon her this day as if it were exceeding riches, immeasurable riches, incomparable riches! Make it plain to her that this is all from you. Let your kindness and grace be her riches and wealth. And we will give all the glory to you Lord. The glory is all yours! (J) God is Just and our Justifier
Good Morning Heavenly Father! We welcome this new day along with the birds, along with the squirrels. We see how you watch out for them in the winter, so we know that you will also be watching over us. Thank you for taking such good care of us Lord. And thank you for the letter J which reminds us that you are just and the justifier of those who believe in Jesus:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. (Romans 3:23-26)
Lord, it is me again. I am here to lift up the daughter you love. I am here on behalf of your daughter Lindsey. Lord, she firmly believes in Jesus and has publicly declared her belief. So I ask that she may be justified by your grace. Lord, you are just and justifier. And we thank you for this. We give you all the glory. All the glory is yours. (I) God is your Instructor
Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you for this new day. Thank you for letting me see more bits of your glory today. Thank you for revealing more bits of your beauty this morning. Thank you Lord. And thank you for the scripture to use for my prayer for your daughter Lindsey … a scripture that reminds us that you are her instructor, her teacher and her guide:
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. (Psalm 32:8)
Lord, it is with great joy that I come before you on behalf of Lindsey, who loves you so much. I ask that you continue to be her instructor, her teacher and her guide. Show her the way that she should go today. Light a path before her and help her to see it clearly. Then I also ask that you give her the courage to walk that path and that you give her words whenever she needs them. And we will give you the glory, Lord. All the glory is yours! (H) God is Holy
Good Morning Heavenly Father. What a marvelous creation you have created for us. There is beauty everywhere if we look for it. I just was amazed at a huge flower that blossomed right here before me. It was far larger than my entire hand. Thank you for creating such beauty … such a beautiful blooming flower that lasts only a few days. How much more can we be sure you will take good care of us! Thank you Lord! And thank your for the scripture about yourself for the letter H for today’s prayer:
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. (1 Peter 1:15-16)
Lord, I am back again. I’m here to pray for your holy daughter, Lindsey. She wants to be holy just as you say that she is. I ask that you help her in her quest to be holy. I ask that you keep her on track this day and that you find ways to let her know how well she is doing! And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. (G) God is your Guide
Heavenly Father, thank you for creating us with senses so that we can see, hear, smell, taste and touch things in the world around us, in your creation! I can see lightning and a few seconds later I hear the thunder. I can smell a chocolate chip cookie just out of the oven, I can grab one and feel its warmth, and then I can enjoy its wonderful taste (yes, I do enjoy homemade chocolate chip cookies). Thank you for all five amazing senses that I am blessed with. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for Lindsey, the daughter you love:
For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death. (Psalm 48:14)
Lord, it is me here again praying for your daughter Lindsey. She knows that you are her guide each and every day. She knows that you have been her guide and that you always will be her guide for every day of her life. Lord, she is looking for your guidance today. I ask that you show her the way. I ask that you light the path before her. Let her clearly see they way you would have her go, and then give her the courage to walk that way and give her words when she needs them. (F) God is extremely Faithful – with new compassions each morning!
Good Morning Heavenly Father! And a wonderful morning it is too. Thank you for watching over me and waking me this morning with your compassions! Thank you for being such a faithful God and for sending me new compassions every morning without fail. Thank you Lord. And thank you for the scripture that confirms your extreme faithfulness that I can use for my prayer for your daughter this day:
It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23)
Lord, it is another day, another joy to be praying for your daughter Lindsey. Today I ask that you let her encounter your compassion. Let her wake up experiencing your faithfulness to her. PRAYER:
Good Morning Heavenly Father. Today I am happy to say Merry Christmas to people I meet as I remember to celebrate the birth of Jesus, of Emmanuel, and remember that indeed God is with us! Thank you for sending your Son to remove the guilt of our sin knowing that He would need to die to reconcile us with you! Thus this is more than a happy birthday wish to Jesus. This is an on my knees thank you for coming to save us Jesus! And today for the letter E we acknowledge his coming as Emmanuel:
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1:23)
Lord, here I am on this special day knowing that you are always there for me. You don’t close shop for holidays or holy days. You are with us always. And today my prayer for your delightful daughter celebrates that you are with her! I pray that Lindsey would feel your presence all around her today as she celebrates the coming of Emmanuel. Good Morning Heavenly Father. Tomorrow we celebrate the birth of Jesus, our Savior. And today I thank you for being with us always. Thank you for being our guide. Thank you for speaking to us today. And thank you for providing another scripture that tells about you as our dwelling place:
A prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. (Psalm 90:1)
Lord, it is a joy to continue praying for the daughter you love and delight over. Lindsey is an inspiration to many. And today I pray that you will continue to be her dwelling place, that she may find her home with you. Let her feel at home in your presence Lord. And we will give you all the glory. Heavenly Father, good morning! I welcome the new day and thank you for my breath and my life. Thank you for providing for me and my family. Thank you for always being with me. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer that reminds us how compassionate you are towards us:
He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. (Micah 7:19)
Lord, I am here before you again to continue my prayers for your daughter who loves you so much. We are so grateful that you have cast our sins into the depths! Thank you for having compassion on Lindsey and I pray that she could witness this with her own eyes this day. And we will give you all the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you for another day with you. Thank you for another day praising you in my prayers for your daughter Lindsey. Thank you for letting us see the many aspects of God through your Word. And today is one for our second letter, B. Thank you for this scripture for today’s prayer:
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. (John 6:35)
Lord, I am so happy to be able to praise you in prayer again this day. And today I thank you for being the bread of life for your daughter Lindsey. When she comes to you this day, let her not be hungry. And as she believes in you today, let her not thirst. Fill her to the brim Lord. And we will give you the glory.
