(G) God is your Guide

Heavenly Father, thank you for creating us with senses so that we can see, hear, smell, taste and touch things in the world around us, in your creation!  I can see lightning and a few seconds later I hear the thunder. I can smell a chocolate chip cookie just out of the oven, I can grab one and feel its warmth, and then I can enjoy its wonderful taste (yes, I do enjoy homemade chocolate chip cookies). Thank you for all five amazing senses that I am blessed with. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for Lindsey, the daughter you love:

For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death. (Psalm 48:14)

Lord, it is me here again praying for your daughter Lindsey. She knows that you are her guide each and every day. She knows that you have been her guide and that you always will be her guide for every day of her life. Lord, she is looking for your guidance today. I ask that you show her the way. I ask that you light the path before her. Let her clearly see they way you would have her go, and then give her the courage to walk that way and give her words when she needs them. And we will both give all the glory to you Lord. All the glory is yours. I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

NASB:
For such is God,
Our God forever and ever;
He will guide us until death.

NLT:
For that is what God is like.
    He is our God forever and ever,
    and he will guide us until we die.

KJV translation note

The King James Version is a beautiful translation of the original Hebrew and Greek, however I sometimes find Old English hard to understand fully. 1 or 2 other translations can help clarify what it is saying so I can understand it. More Info CLICK: References
