Heavenly Father, thank you for light. It just occurred to me that without light, our eyes would see nothing. The beauty of the trees, of flowers, of flying birds would all go unnoticed if there were no light. Thank you for light! And thank you for revealing to us with the letter V that Jesus is the vine, we are the branches and without him, we can do nothing!

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (John 15:5)

Lord, it is so fantastic living in this world with you. Living life without you is almost incomprehensible to me at times. And so it is with great joy that I am here with you again, as I am each day. I am here to lift up your daughter Lindsey, and to ask that you continue to be the strong vine for her. She is abiding in you, and so I ask that you let her bear much fruit. She knows that she can do nothing without you, and so this day she sets out to see what she can do WITH you!  Lord, I ask that you continue to show her the way to go. I ask that you continue to surround her with godly men and women. And I ask that you let her see the amazing fruit that she has been producing – fruit that she never would have dreamed about ten years ago. And I further ask that as she continues to walk with you and to work with you that her fruit will continue to be overflowing. And we will give you all the credit Lord. All the credit and all the glory is yours. I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, the vine that we abide in. Amen.

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
