(H) You are Called to Holiness

Heavenly Father, thank you for being my provider and protector. Thank you for being my guide and teacher. Thank you for my breath and my life. And thank you for calling us into holiness as in the scripture for the letter H for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. (1 Thessalonians 4:7)

Lord, it’s me again … here with you as usual when I come each day on behalf of your daughter who loves you. Today I ask that you indeed call her unto holiness. I ask that you protect her from uncleanness, impurity and immorality. Be her guide today as always. Open her eyes to see the path you lay out before her today. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

ESV:
For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness.

GNT:
God did not call us to live in immorality, but in holiness.

KJV translation note

The King James Version is a beautiful translation of the original Hebrew and Greek, however I sometimes find Old English hard to understand fully. 1 or 2 other translations can help clarify what it is saying so I can understand it. More Info CLICK: References
