Continue reading the Word every day to be a true disciple of Jesus

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for music. It is so interesting how music can be soothing, can be invigorating, can be inspiring. It is interesting that our ears can pick up all the fine details of music, how loud, how fast, what pitch, harmony, melody and so much more. Thank you for music Lord. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter:

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:31-32)

Lord, I am here. I am here to lift up your daughter Lindsey. Yes, Lindsey, today I pray that you will continue what you stated as your New Year’s resolution … that you would find time each day to read the Word, to read the Bible.  If there is no time, I pray that you will be willing to make the time. I pray that this would remain a priority for you today and the rest of the year. I pray that God would meet with you each time you open the Bible and that he would reveal the truth to you making you free. And all the glory we give to God. The glory is all his. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

ESV:
So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

HCSB:
So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, you really are My disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

KJV translation note

The King James Version is a beautiful translation of the original Hebrew and Greek, however I sometimes find Old English hard to understand fully. 1 or 2 other translations can help clarify what it is saying so I can understand it. More Info CLICK: References
