Jesus Loves You. He Died for You. He Rose and So Now May Others See Jesus in Your Eyes

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for shoes (and socks). Thank you for protecting my feet everywhere I walk. Thank you for walking with me. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

Lord, I’m here as usual to begin this days prayer for your daughter you love. And the scripture for this prayer refers to your love for her. Lindsey, Jesus loves you. He gave himself for you by being whipped and crucified. He loves you so much that he said it was like a joy to do this for you*. But though he did die for you, he also rose again. Not only that, but as you live by faith in Jesus he is living in you! So that is the reason that I can pray that you may live your life in a way that others can see Jesus in your eyes.  And why not!? He is living in you after all! So let today be a special day where Jesus makes himself evident within you. And we will give the glory to him. The glory is all his. Glory! I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

* Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1-2)

ESV:
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

HCSB:
Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us,  keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despised the shame and has sat down at the right hand of God’s throne. (Hebrews 12:1-2)

KJV translation note

The King James Version is a beautiful translation of the original Hebrew and Greek, however I sometimes find Old English hard to understand fully. 1 or 2 other translations can help clarify what it is saying so I can understand it. More Info CLICK: References
