A daughter of God

You are a child of God, a daughter of God!

Heavenly Father, thank you for watching over my family the past week. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for guiding me. Thank you for all your many blessings. And thank you for the scripture to use in my first prayer for the next set of 40 prayers for your daughter Lindsey:

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:26-29)

Lord, what a joy to be here with you again today. I am here today to lift up the daughter you love and to begin another set of daily prayers for her. And today I ask that you find a way to remind her that she truly is a daughter of God. She has put her faith in Jesus and is now a child of God and an heir according to the promise. Lord, you are Lindsey’s loving father so I ask that you walk with her today. I ask that you sit with her. I ask that you comfort her while you sing over her. Let her know that you are there with her. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. I ask this all in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen.

NLT:
For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.

GNT:
It is through faith that all of you are God’s children in union with Christ Jesus. You were baptized into union with Christ, and now you are clothed, so to speak, with the life of Christ himself. So there is no difference between Jews and Gentiles, between slaves and free people, between men and women; you are all one in union with Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are the descendants of Abraham and will receive what God has promised.

KJV translation note

The King James Version is a beautiful translation of the original Hebrew and Greek, however I sometimes find Old English hard to understand fully. 1 or 2 other translations can help clarify what it is saying so I can understand it. More Info CLICK: References
