Continue to Cling to the Lord your God

Heavenly Father, Good Morning! Thank you for a warm room to wake up in. Thank you for a car to drive to church in. Thank you for your church! And thank you for your Word that you left for us as a guide for my life. Thank you for the scripture to use in my prayer this morning:

But cleave unto the Lord your God, as ye have done unto this day. (Joshua 23:8)

Lord, how wonderful to know that any time I wish I can come to you and you will sit with me. Right now I am here to lift up Lindsey, your daughter who loves you. I ask that you sit with her today, that you would hear her prayers and that you would answer her in a way that she knows it is you. I ask that you be with her so that she can see how clinging to you gives her the best life. She has been clinging to you already, she has done this unto this day. Now I ask that you give her added joy as she clings to you today. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. I ask this all in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

ESV:
but you shall cling to the Lord your God just as you have done to this day.

NASB:
But you are to cling to the Lord your God, as you have done to this day.

KJV translation note

The King James Version is a beautiful translation of the original Hebrew and Greek, however I sometimes find Old English hard to understand fully. 1 or 2 other translations can help clarify what it is saying so I can understand it. More Info CLICK: References
