Look out for the interests of others

Heavenly Father, hello. Thank you for the heart of compassion. Thank you for a humble love for others. Thank you for eyes to see that which is not visible. And thank you for the scripture that is the basis of today’s prayer for Lindsey, you daughter:

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. (Philippians 2:4)

Lord, I am pleased to be here. I am happy that you call me to come sit with you every day so that I can pray for your daughter Lindsey. It is a joy to lift Lindsey up to you Lord. I pray that you extend the compassion in her heart. I pray that you enhance her vision to see that which is not visible. I ask that you help her to look out for the interest of others ahead of her own interests. I pray that those who are watching her will see this and want to do the same! And we will give all the glory to you Lord. The glory is all yours. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

HCSB:
Everyone should look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

NASB:
do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.

KJV translation note

The King James Version is a beautiful translation of the original Hebrew and Greek, however I sometimes find Old English hard to understand fully. 1 or 2 other translations can help clarify what it is saying so I can understand it. More Info CLICK: References
