A daughter of God

Do not grieve. Wipe away the tears. Let joy be seen in your eyes again.

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for creating us and for saving us through Jesus. Thank you for giving us this scripture regarding your promise of eternal life for those who leave this world to be with you:

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14)

and

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. (2 Corinthians 4:13-14)

Lord, I am here. I am here on behalf of your daughter Lindsey, who has lost a very dear friend. I ask that you be with her and be her comforter. Lindsey, just as Paul wrote to the Thessalonians, I write my prayer for you to remind you of things you already know, for you are not ignorant concerning how everlasting life is waiting for each of us. You read God’s Word each day, so you are not uninformed about those who sleep in death.

Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. (2 Peter 1:12)

Lindsey, today I remind you of the faith and the hope that you already have. So, don’t be concerned about your good friend Gavi. Paul reminds you to not grieve for him. For we know he has eternal life as his hope is fulfilled. So, be comforted. I pray that once again God would fill you with his joy so that you could celebrate how Jesus has brought Gavi to him. I pray that the joy of the Lord could be seen in your eyes again. And in this we give the glory to God. All the glory is his. Glory. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

NIV (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14):
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

NET (2 Corinthians 4:13-14):
But since we have the same spirit of faith as that shown in what has been written, “I believed; therefore I spoke,” we also believe, therefore we also speak. We do so because we know that the one who raised up Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus and will bring us with you into his presence.

NIV (2 Peter 1:12):
So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have.

KJV translation note

The King James Version is a beautiful translation of the original Hebrew and Greek, however I sometimes find Old English hard to understand fully. 1 or 2 other translations can help clarify what it is saying so I can understand it. More Info CLICK: References
