(T) Jesus is the Truth
Heavenly Father, thank you for keeping me safe and secure. Thank you for reminding me of the truth when presented by lies of the world. Thank you for blessing me with discernment to know when something spoken is truth or a lie. And thank you for the scripture for my prayer referencing the letter T as I pray again for your daughter Lindsey:
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
Lord, here I am again, as usual, ready to pray for your daughter Lindsey who loves you so much. I ask that you increase her discernment today. That you make it easier for her to distinguish between what is truth and what is NOT! Open her eyes to the truth, open her mind to the truth, open her heart to your truth. (S) God is my Strength, my Song, my Salvation
Heavenly Father, good morning! I welcome the new day with you. As always, I can start this day anew, start it fresh, with no worry about where I was yesterday. Thank you for the sun that rises each day. Thank you for the moon and the stars at night. Thank you for the world you created! I praise you… I exalt you! And I thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer:
The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him. (Exodus 15:2)
Lord, yes, it is me. I am here to pray for Lindsey, the daughter you love. You are her strength and her song. I pray that today you remind her that you are her salvation. Fill her with even more strength directly from you. Lord, be a sweet song for her today. Be the melody and give her the harmony. Let the room around her reverberate with your joyous music. (R) God Rejoices
Heavenly Father – Yay! From Q for quiet to R for rejoicing. Thank you for revealing bits of yourself to us in your Word! It seems Paul understood this when writing to the Philippians when he told them to rejoice always. We should rejoice because you rejoice! Thank you for giving us so many ways to rejoice. With singing, with dance, with laughter. Thank you for the scripture to use in my prayer this day:
The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. (Zephaniah 3:17)
Lord, I come here before you with joy and with singing. I come here to joyfully lift up your daughter you love, to lift up Lindsey, your daughter as you sing joyfully over her. And I pray that she, in turn, will rejoice with you today. Let her rest in your love as you calm all her fears. You are mighty, Lord, but you are singing and rejoicing as well. Let Lindsey feel your delight in her today. Let her be inspired by your joy and your singing. Rather than put this inspiration into words, let her put it to music. Let her music resound through the room and into the heavens. And we will give you the glory Lord. All the glory is yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen. (more…)
(Q) God is Quiet, Silent and Calm
Heavenly Father. Thank you for vision. For the wonder of my eyes. For the millions of shades colors I can see. For depth perception. Thank you for peripheral vision. Thank you for allowing me to read. And especially, thank you for your gift of scriptures that I love to read … and today for letter Q I can see how you can be quiet at times too:
So will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry. (Ezekiel 16:42)
Lord, I have been encouraged by godly people you have surrounded me with. I am encouraged that in the midst of your wrath against your own people in Jerusalem, you reminded them that you also can be quiet, silent, calm. And today I am here as usual to pray for your daughter Lindsey. I pray that you will allow her to find you today. That she can find you resting and not angry. That you will calmly sit with her when she needs you. I pray that today you provide extra time of rest for her. I pray that you calm her fears, calm her anxiety, calm her nerves. (P) God Preserves You With Songs
Hello Heavenly Father. I am happy to welcome another day. Another new day with you. Thank you for waking me this morning and for creating this world made to be just right for us. Just right temperature, just right gravity, just right oxygen in the air, just right! Thank you for everything you created from the tiny to the huge. And thank you for letting us know that you preserve us from trouble and surround us with songs!
Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. (Psalm 32:7)
Lord, I am here again. I come before you to lift up your daughter Lindsey. She loves you and gives her life to you. You are her hiding place. I ask that today you preserver her from all trouble. I ask that you surround her with songs of deliverance. You know that Lindsey loves music, so I also ask that you let her hear some of the songs that you surround her with. (O) God is Omnipotent, the Almighty God
Hello Heavenly Father! Thank you for your many blessings you have showered upon me and my family. Thank you for being our provider as well as our protector. Thank you for being my guide. And thank you for the scripture that tells about you for the letter O … that you are Omnipotent and Almighty:
And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. (Revelation 19:5-6)
Lord, here I am again as I continue to come each day to lift up Lindsey, your daughter you love. And today I ask that you add her praise to mine as we lift our praise to you our God saying Alleluia, our God omnipotent reigns. Alleluia, for our Lord God Almighty reigns! I pray that you would come sit with Lindsey this day, that you would let her see a bit more of your power, your glory, your greatness! Yes, and we in turn will give all the glory to you Lord. (N) God is Nigh; God is Near
Good Morning Heavenly Father! Thank you for waking me to welcome another glorious marvelous day. Thank you for watching over me during the night and guiding me during the day. Thank you for the godly people you place in my path this day as you always have in the past decade! And thank you for the scripture that reminds us that you are nigh, that you are near. I just need to draw near to you and you draw even nearer to me. I just need to call on you and there you are – near to me! Thank you for the scripture that reminds us of this for the letter N this day:
The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. (Psalm 145:18)
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. (James 4:8)
Lord, I have been anxious to come and be with you now. I am eager to come near to you. And now I wish to ask something for your daughter Lindsey. Lord, I ask that you be near to her today. Even more than usual. Be near to her the entire day so that she can truly sense your presence all around her. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. Heavenly Father, thank you for the wonderful universe you created for us. Thank you for the HUGE stars (so big I cannot fathom their largeness). Thank you for the TINY that we cannot see with our eyes or even with normal microscopes. Thank you for letting us see the fine details of your design of the cell finally. It is utterly amazing! Thank you for the tiny and the huge. And thank you for the scripture that reminds us that you are MARVELOUS (the letter M for today):
And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. (Revelation 15:3)
Lord, I am here now to lift up your daughter Lindsey who loves you so much. She enjoys music and so she would be thrilled to hear the songs being sung by the angels! We know from your scriptures that music is important to you Lord … they even assigned people to play musical instruments and sing praises to you! I ask that today you inspire Lindsey with another tune that she can play for you. Grant her many many more musical inspirations this new year. And we will give the praise to you. Happy New Year Heavenly Father! A good year has passed and now we look forward to an even better year to come. Thank you for reminding us that we can start each day of this coming year new with you. We need not start where we left off the night before, but start the new day fresh, anew! Thank you Lord. And thank you for telling us all about yourself and the letter L to remind us that you ARE love!
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. (1 John 4:16.)
Lord, I am overjoyed to be here with you this morning. And it is my pleasure to come before you on behalf of your daughter you love dearly. She knows that you are a God of love, but I ask that you make today a very special day for her where you make it crystal clear that you ARE love … that God is Love! (K) God is Kind
Heavenly Father, thank you for this wonderful night, for the moon in the sky, only a crescent but still bright enough to light up the street for me to see where to walk. Thank you for the stars – not just dozens of them, nor hundreds of them or even thousands of them. You created stars in the billions just for us to see when we look up at the night sky! You did this all for us! Thank you Lord! And thank you for the scripture that speaks of your kindness for the letter K:
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:7)
Lord, let me just pause to sit with you this time. Let me just rest here with you. And after I rest a while, then let me speak on behalf of your daughter Lindsey. She is your daughter and I ask that you shower her with your loving kindness. Let her feel your kindness upon her this day as if it were exceeding riches, immeasurable riches, incomparable riches! Make it plain to her that this is all from you. Let your kindness and grace be her riches and wealth. And we will give all the glory to you Lord. The glory is all yours!
