Sing from Your Heart as the Word of Christ Dwells in You Richly!
Exhort: strongly encourage or urge (someone) to do something.
Admonish: advise or urge (someone) earnestly. warn (someone) of something to be avoided.
Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you for always being with me. Thank you for coming near to me anytime I draw near to you. Thank you for clearly lighting the path for me for the task you have set before me. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. (Colossians 3:16)
Lord, I’m here again. I came to sit with you and thank you again for showing me the way to go for the task at hand. But I also am here on behalf of your daughter you love and today I have another big request. Lord, I ask that you continue to put godly advisers around her. Surround her with people who will not just encourage her, but also urge her along the right path, warning her of things she must avoid. Place people around her that can teach her with hymns and songs. Help her to sing and play with grace in her heart. And we will give the glory to you. All the glory is yours Lord. I pray this all in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
The Minstrel Played and the Lord Came
Minstrel: The Hebrew word in 2 Kings 3:15 properly signifies a player upon a stringed instrument like the harp or kinnor
Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for reasoning minds. Thank you for telling us that we can look around us and see evidence of you Lord. Thank you for making it evident to all who look. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for Lindsey:
And Elisha said, As the Lord of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward thee, nor see thee. But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him. (2 Kings 3:14-15)
Lord, I am here again. I am happy to begin a new prayer for your daughter, whom you have gifted with the talent and skill to be a powerful minstrel and a notable musician. The talent and skill that you gave her are seen wherever she performs. Now I ask that when she plays, that you would come! I ask for your presence Lord wherever she plays, wherever she performs. I ask that you make your presence evident each time. And we will give you the glory. The glory is all yours Lord. I ask this all in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen
Their music and rejoicing shook the earth
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for feeding the birds. And thank you for telling us that we each are more valuable than a bird! And thank you for the scripture to use for my prayer for your daughter today:
And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save king Solomon. And all the people came up after him, and the people piped with pipes, and rejoiced with great joy, so that the earth rent with the sound of them. (1 Kings 1:40)
Lord, I’m here again… as usual, to begin another days prayer for your daughter who loves you. And today I ask for something big, something huge. Today I ask that you be with Lindsey and let her shake the earth with joyful celebration and praise to you Lord. Let those around her rejoice with her. Let the joy of the Lord fill Lindsey and let that joy be apparent to everyone who sees her rejoicing in you Lord. And the glory goes to you. We give you the glory. I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen … and let the earth shake in celebration of God! (more…)
Play and Dance with Joyful Music for the King with other women!
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for touch. Thank you for how I can feel the keys as I type to know how much to press on a key and when to stop pressing it:) Thank you for letting my feet feel the ground as I walk so that my steps are sure. And thank you for the pain that I feel at times which instantly alerts me to danger situations such as burning or cutting myself accidentally. And thank you for the scripture about the women singing, playing and dancing with joy:
And it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of musick. And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands. (1 Samuel 18:6-7)
Lord, I am here. I am here to lift up your daughter Lindsey and pray for her again as I do each day. And today I ask that you put celebration in her mind and joy in her heart. Show her a way that she can play and dance for you today. Let her feel your joy as she celebrates over you her King! And all the glory we give to you Lord. The glory is all yours. I pray this all in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for the sunrise which is coming earlier and earlier during this time in June.Thank you for the dawning of the day and the dew on the grass. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for Lindsey:
Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. (James 5:13)
Lord, it’s me again. I am happy to be here with you to start a new prayer for a new day for your daughter. Lord, come sit and talk with Lindsey and ask her if she is merry. Ask her if she is happy. Ask her if she feels like celebrating. And then I ask that you give her the opportunity to sing praises to you Lord. Give her the chance to sing and play to you. Let her sing psalms to you God. And we will give you the glory. The glory is yours! I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Why are you cast down? Why are you disquieted? God is Your Exceeding Joy!
Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for a new day. Thank you for allowing me to sleep at night so I can wake in the morning, new and renewed. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. (Psalm 43:4-5)
Lord, I’m here again. I’m here to lift up your daughter who loves you. Lord, I ask that today you be Lindsey’s exceeding joy. Fill her with your joy Lord. And then give her a chance to play it back to you on her violin. Let her play her song that reminds herself NOT to be cast down, NOT to be disquieted and NOT to allow that inner turmoil. Instead, renew her hope Lord, for you are her salvation and each new day she can sing and play her praises to you. Yes, all the glory goes to you Lord. The glory is all yours. Glory! I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Play before God with All Your Might!
Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you for the many colors seen in your creation around me. Thank you for the greens in the grass and the trees. Thank you for the blues in the sky. Thank you for the pinks in the sunset. And thank you for the browns in the dirt and the sand. Thank you for the seemingly unlimited colors in nature! And thank you for the scripture to use in today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kirjath-jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up thence the ark of God the Lord, that dwelleth between the cherubims, whose name is called on it. And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart. And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets. (1 Chronicles 13:6-8)
Lord, here I am. I am here again on behalf of your daughter you love. Today I ask that you give her the same passion for you that King David and all Israel had as related in 1 Chronicles 13. They played and sang and danced before you with all their might. I ask that you give Lindsey the opportunity this week do the same … to play and dance before you God. To play and dance before you with all her might! And we will give the glory to you Lord. The glory is all yours. Glory! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen. (more…)
Women joined in playing music to the Lord
Heavenly Father, good morning. Thank you for movement. Thank you for legs that move me around on cushioned steps. Thank you for my feet that keep me balanced. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels. (Psalm 68:25)
Lord, I’m here again, as usual. I am ready to begin another daily prayer for your daughter Lindsey. I ask that you let her be like the young women who played on instruments as part of a procession that honored you God. Let the music glorify you Lord. I ask that you provide Lindsey with many opportunities to glorify you in her music and dance. And we will give the glory to you Lord. The glory is all yours. Glory. I pray this all in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
Praise God with Violin and with Dance
Good Morning Heavenly Father! Thank you for the weather! Thank you for the ever changing weather. And thank you for the scripture for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:
Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. (Psalm 150:3-6)
Lord, I’m here again. I am ready to lift up your daughter you love again this day! I ask that you give her ways to praise you with violin and dance. Let her praise you along with all that have breath. Let her praise you along with all of creation! And we will give the glory to you. The glory is all yours Lord. I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
All types of instruments can be used to praise the Lord
Good morning Heavenly Father. What a good and great morning it is. Thank you for the dawn where light shines forth from the prior darkness. Thank you for the light so that our eyes may see. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey.
And David and all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals. (2 Samuel 6:5)
But also keep in mind what immediately follows (pointing out how they were incorrectly transporting the ark of God):
And when they came to Nachon’s threshing floor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God. (2 Samuel 6:6-7)
Lord, I’m here again. I’m ready to lift up your daughter. Let her play before you Lord. Let her play on an instrument made of wood. Let her music be joyful and acknowledging you Lord. Let her dance and play joyful melodies and harmonies. Let her fly through the air with joyful dancing. But I also ask that you protect her Lord. I ask that you keep her rejoicing on track and on the path you would have her go. I ask that anytime her rejoicing is for the wrong reasons, that you open her eyes and her heart. Let her not be deceived nor misled. Let her not forget that you have set down guidelines for her to follow, just as you set guidelines for the Israelites to follow when transporting the ark of God. And we will give the glory to you Lord. The glory is all yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen (more…)
